Morning all i think i got maybe a cm top up last night which is most welcome, Quite cloudy to my east and North and the sun is out the two and a half inches that fell last night dont look like thawing just yet.

I've had one flash very close earlier, followed quickly by thunder.

Also saw 4 more flashes to my east, and even got lucky and got a photo of one...

I've sent it to BBC Look North so hopefully they'll use it sometime.

I still have my eyes on them showers coming from the NE and the Humber. They are moving across at quite a nice rate and now should be coming up to the Leeds area. I will keep tracking them for the meanwhile (Probably to no avail as the Pennines will kill them off)

I dont have the netweather radar so i would appreciate it if you can keep me updated mate, The showers will probably be eaten by the pennines but you never know !

I've heard reports that Chester has over 10 inches of snow O_o

I could believe it, since we've got just around a foot here now!

3 inches here and Chester is 6 miles away so i find that hard to believe but hey anythings possible !

We wont get much more tonight, the showers will be torn to shreds by the pennines, manchester will see the last of the showers before they melt away completley IMO.
