yes will be all down to watching that radar...waiting for met office warning update. Looks like they will focus more on mid and east wales though. The mountains are going to get hammered i reckon
Handy if u live 350M up in one of Wales highest town's. ??

I would make the most of friday/saturdays cold, mainly dry weather with a chance of snow showers as next week looks very wet in the south
Really? I think most if not all forecasters are having problems forecasting the weather at the moment. And anything beyond 5 days is pointless.

Fair bit of excitement in the model thread. All three are modelling the same outputs. As are BBC. Less than a week away hopefully it's still consistent come Monday
-
Bitterly cold here at the top of the Eastern Valley this morning with some snow grains floating about in the breeze.
-
Those charts are for 2 weeks away.... from what I have read on the model thread.... don't bother with anything further than 5 days away, especially where cold weather and easterlys are concerned.

I can see the Blorenge in Blaenavon from my front door and it looks like it's turned to snow up there, here in Abergavenny it's rain.
Yea turned to snow in Blaenavon. Elevation is the key..... not particularly heavy snow though.

Had a few cm in Blaenavon this morning currently very light snow falling.
-
Can't see how it will ever be cold enough for snow. Even at 350M
-
Bbc forecast this morning showing snow over a fair bit part of Wales for Wednesday.
-
Currently snowing in Blaenavon light stuff not coming to anything at the moment
-
Snow falling in Blaenavon at 350M ASL. The Coity mountain had a covering first thing

Still bitterly cold at the top of eastern valley with cloud rolling in from the west.... Rain sleet or snow?
-
I think In all fairness snow for low level areas was never forecast. I think we will struggle to see much up the valleys at 350M.
As for next week it's a pretty bold statement from the beeb who never stick their neck out.... but we dont know what we will get sat yet never mind next Thurs

Just watched the BBC forecast and they are going for snow over the high ground of mid and south Wales on Saturday and Sunday

Wet and very windy at the top of the Eastern Valley. Shocking weekend with the amount of rain we have had.
Had some sleet mixed in with the rain at times today.... well we are +350M asl.
Looks like an interesting week of weather ahead. Be nice to see a few snow days if they materialise.
-
Just seen on Torfaen councils Facebook page they are expecting snow on high ground overnight.....

Currently light drizzle here in Blaenavon. Considerably milder this morning too. At our elevation we are getting rain, it's rain in most places.

I live in Blaenavon.... not really enough snow for that. I'm assuming they are up on one of the surrounding mountains.
-
Had some wet snow earlier here in Blaenavon at around 350M ASL also had sleet and rain since. I'm gonna say we are probably a couple degrees to warm for proper snow.
-
Mix of rain sleet and snow in Blaenavon this morning. A slight covering on the Coity mountain.
-
It's gone particularly cold at the top of the Eastern Valley this afternoon. I think we are in for a cold night followed by milder and wet weather until Sunday before the real cold arrives.
-
Let's be honest I have no idea why ppl waste their time looking at these models any further than 5 days out, as they always change. Alot of money on super computers that just make things up! Lol
