Just want to say - a very nice friendly forum here !
Certainly lots of battleground uncertainty (particularly Monday onwards) but if we knew exactly when and where it was going to snow.. heck - we'd have nothing to talk about !
Tomorrow may surprise for some but whatever happens its gonna be a roller coaster for quite a while !
We wouldn't want it any other way eh ?
Can someone provide a link to Ian Ferguson's latest forecast and latest fax chart ?

Nothing special but considering it was just rain last night.
and snowing here too (only rain last nite ? Where were you around 11.30 ? Lovely dump of the stuff here)

Its on its way guys - may only be the back edge but south east wales and south also I would think should be seeing some snow soon.
Had a 45 minute deluge here in Gloucester about an hour ago - the wet roads were white in 2 mins ! huge flakes in amongst the ice ! extraordinary (note meto red blob)

All these reports of settling snow yet so many earlier were dismissing any chance of that happening! :-)
.. got to have the faith lol !
Meto had us as 'late on' as a target area in earlier forecasts. ok other parts east had snow they werent expecting ..

Just up the road from Lynux and its beginning to snow, very fine, but settling on cars
20 mins of extraordinary snowfall here and still going strong.. must be under that tiny red blob on the meto radar !
Probably the back end of it now but maybe some flurries to come later...

Drizzle here. Temp has dropped to 1.7c and DP is -1.1 according to my weather station.
According to Severntales site... temp 2.1°C dewpoint -7.3°C (Wet Bulb :-0.9°C )
Could those more knowledgeable interpret that regarding what is required for snow to fall ?
Incidentally everything in the north east is set to swing this way and met o still has south east wales as a potential risk.. appears to pivot back over there...

As well as anticipating Friday... has anyone got any thoughts on this development out to the West. This started out as a batch of showers before hitting Ireland and now has a vivid circulation to it. Will its momentum be reduced as it moves in land ? If not - snow on its northern edge ?

The drizzle here suddenly intensified and now we have... soggy snow coming down thickly. Radar shows it wont last but what a winter eh ?
The Forest of Dean and Cotswolds will get its usual covering no doubt...

Surprised no other posts here unless I live in the only south west snow zone !
Just up and must have been snowing steadily for a while as it is settling on the grass and cars but not on pavements or roads. We must be right on the edge between rain and snow I reckon - and I live low down here.
