total whiteout here in Hastings now; guess we've had a good 2" since early evening.

The End of this cold is now concrete!!
Remind me not to ask you to come and do the foundations for my extension as your idea of concrete is a bit bizarre!
GFS sticks to its guns and wants the high to slip away (as does METO). I don't see a dramatic end to all of this just yet as there are so many different scenerios being played out. Next few runs 'may' give a better indication of a way forward.

Well after a brief walk in the snow here in Eastbourne we watched it slowly turn back to rain then fizzle out to nothing, temperature now 2c and most of the slight covering of snow has now gone, sigh... Eastbourne, suntrap of the south, bag of sh#te. :-)
Exactly the same here in Hastings. Temp now 1.3.........why do I feel we're going to miss out on this and in the latter part of the week!

years ago the only way I'd get to see a long range chart was via the Farmers weather bulletin and had I seen this at the time I'd be mightily excited

Been lurking/reading/learning for a while but felt compelled to start posting
dropped to -0.4 here under lovely clear skies. Some snow still lying on the paths which has frozen nicely
Latest Fax charts are what has been dreamed of for many a year.......I dare say in years to come we'll all be looking back at these with happy memories!

Last time I can recall a day like today would have been sometime in the 80's. Light/Heavy - sometimes blizzard conditions throughout the whole day. We must have had at least 9cm today and now have 18cm lying on the grass. Considering I am a stones through from the sea it's truly amazing
