  1. Afternoon all, can't help but feel us here in West Suffolk could potentially go either way in this setup - increasingly flip floping on various models and forecasts between heavy rain and heavy snow. Really hope those marginal uppers are bumped a tad further away.  I am remaining hopeful to be on the right side of marginal for once. Alas, all we know for sure is we've got a interesting couple of days in store.

  2. A good 6cm covering widely around here near Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk. Went above freezing for a little while earlier, but now it's dropping again - currently 0.0c bang on.

Using the new METO radar projections, seems like we could get a some heavy shows from late afternoon onwards. Seeing what could potentially be arriving Sat/Sun - it's going to make the roads around here even more unpassable. Being in the middle of nowhere - there is no grit on the roads here whatsoever.

  3. Hello all,

Long time reader, first time poster and all of that jazz.

I've been reading the forecasts and debate with much anticipation and interest with regards to the up and coming snow events here in Suffolk.

I was just wondering if there are any experts out there that could help out with the confusion regarding the band of snow approaching East Anglia that is due to hit tomorrow morning.

I was wondering if we could get any sort of window for arrival here in West Suffolk and the potential length it could continue for? I know we're not going to talk exact until the radar watch begins tomorrow, but from what I can see it'll be around 8 or 9am - is this correct using current projections? This is an issue for us as I'm pretty sure this could effect journeys to school and such - and with back untreated roads, moderate snow and buses - they don't normally mix. Would 5cm be a ballpark figure for this feature?

Would appreciate any help I recieve.
