  1. Heloooooo. -3.0c now here in Broughton, would you say thats south or east MK? gonna keep posting, don't wanna be a newbie for long!!
  2. I saw this on Friday when I drove 10 miles up the M1 from MK. I actually felt gutted for the snow lovers of Northants, Abington Parks has some excellent slopes for sledgin down, I spent may days there in my youth. Although, back in Feb 2008, Npton had about 6 inches when MK had 2, swings and round abouts I suppose, snow seems to be the most unpredictable type of weather, I am sue I you want it, it knows and stays away, then when you least expecting it, or thinking about it, or take your eveys off the forums and radars for a few days, then bam. I hope you get some tonight/tomorrow, I really want a snow day on Monday, I battled to work every day last week, on Thursday, I was the only person in the office!! Mug?
  3. Grrrrrrr. I see the snow on the rain today radar is dissapering when it moves inland, and does not seem to be progressing north. All we have is the cold here in the MK, currrently -2.9c at 4pm, that a cold one. Anyone around here got any lower at the mo?
  4. It is a little pants around here, MK/LBuzzard area, I went to Northampton earlier, its is like a different part of the world, less than and inch, where it has not melted or blown away. I feel sorry for those guys left wanting in N'pton. I grew up in that part of the world and the 80's and 90's alwat gave us enough snow for sledgeing in Abbby Park, Anyone remember??
  5. Cool, You should get the first shower just before we do here and then well know it has got this far!! Did you get much Tuesday night and Wed PM. We have had nothing more since then here.
  6. Has anyone heard from Wether Man Bland from Steveange today??
  7. How many Weather watchers are there in Milton Keynes here on Netweather?
  8. OK, No one loves snow more than I do, I bet we all think this, but I'm sure I love it a little more than the rest. Just been for a walk round Willen Lake, there is an even coating all the way round of about 3 inches, and it is compacted to 1 inch on the paths. I was expecting to be very cold, but, I actually got a sweat on half way round ( I can run round both lakes in 16 mins ) so where is this bitter easterly?? I have been very dissapointed with the Beebs 4cast for this area since last evening, but I'm learning to ignor that, and I am still ever the optimist. I have checked the rain today radar and it is looking very intresting, but................... WILL IT GET TO MK?? HOW MUCH WILL FALL?? I am happy with what we have got, after all, MK NEVER gets a good dump, too far inland from the east, south, west and north, and not really high enough. I love the fact that it now only takes 5 mins to get to work since I moved here in May from Kettering, but boy, Kettering got and gets a lot more snow!! C'mon!!
  9. In Milton Keynes, where it hardly ever sticks, we had 4 inches over night, another inch between 1pm and 2pm, then the sky's cleared. Since 4pm, the temp has dropped from 0.0 to -4.5 and falling 0. per 3 mins. This snow is gonna stay around for quite a few days, the roads will be worse tomorrow morning as they are now compacted and Im sure we will get some more before it all ends. It all looks beautiful, Ive always wanted this but at the same time, now Im a little older, it is also a pain in the I have a problem, cause I gots to work to pays the mortgage!! Its all so bitter sweet.
  10. 6 Inches?? Where are you in MK, I live in Broughton just of M1 J14, and we only have about 3cm at best, and it has not snowed since I woke at 6am!
  11. I was thinking exactly the same, just kept lurking. There is about 3cm here im Milton Keynes, the snow is heavy but the flakes are like dust, no matter though, as soon as there is 2 inches everything grinds to a halt when the school run mums get stuck on a 2% incline!
