Love to see this again, this was december 2005, the only proper covering up to now!!!!
what do you think for my area with my ASL. East of southyorkshire, outside of the town its self in a rural village.
-
potential of an easterly is still showing on the charts so i wouldnt give up untill mid april!
-
quite correct Chris
its a first with an early warning for southyorkshire though?

-
went thiner and started to come down faster with the bigger flake pushing through  , andy you was correct haha, was weird with local bbc forecast said lower levels should be rain now, im around 50-60 meters above sea level!
-
getting thicker
-
I don't think we are gonna see any heavier snow as it seems to be fizzling out the closer it gets to us
Its been snowing here for a couple of hours now but its been that light we have barely accumulated 0.5cm's, pretty disappointing really
here in sprotbrough its 1cm and theres heavy stuff on the way for doncaster, http://www.meteo24.com/uk/index.php?q=radar have a look on there thank god doncaster is actualy going to have a proper covering !!!!!!
-
You are included in my prediction of a pasting for tonight  Anywhere from say north nottingham/sheffield could get some decent snow later, this band is moving slowly though so that could be a bit of a blessing in disguise, cos as the temps drop as it gets dark thats when the main heavy precip will hit you.
hey andy:), thanks for cheering me up haha, yesturday was weird, snowed in morning with a dusting, melted and same time now as it was yesturday temp dropped and snowed lightly to moderate for 3 hours n gave 1 cm covering, i hope we get a pasting, ill send you some great pics if it pulls off
-
dew point in doncaster is lowering so that some good news i hope, hope southyorkshire will see the heavy stuff tonight!
-
Light rain here in Doncaster, its washing away the very light dusting we had yesterday
The temps are too warm atm, its been rising every fifteen minutes, now at 2.3 with a dewpoint of 0.5
I don't think we'll be seeing any more of the white stuff here.
Dont be fooled by this, i think its going to suprise us this time hope
-
woah now this is amazing, snowing for 3 hours now, last 30 mins getting heavier and temp is lowering and starting to settle:D, is this happening for any one who didnt get a covering today?????
-
Been snowing lightly with some bigish flakes for like 2hours! not settling but temps droppin, might get a lil covering hmmmmm, hope for sat:D
-
its all metled away now:( is there any hope for saturday in southyorkshire?
-
looks like doncaster wont even get a covering now B) !
-
Snow stopped now and a light thaw
Wheres this 10-15cm we were forcasted. We've managed about an inch which is not enough to take the kids out for the sledging session i promised them.
And what about the forecast for this to go until 9pm. Its only midday and over!!!!
I know how you feel, quite alot of the 0.5cm covering has gone, starting to lightly snow but small flakes and not setlling B)
-
Stopped snowing here now, it never got very heavy and now because it was only a slight covering its melting on the paths and roads.
thats already happend here in doncaster, i think we might get something heavier early afternoon, lets hope
-
hey all, can you put my mind to rest, right woke up at 9, live in doncaster in a village away from town and there was a slight covering 0.5cm, snow has stopped and melted slightly, is doncaster ever going to get a proper covering today? any heavy falls?
-
Here in doncaster, just had very bad winds and torrential rain, my road has flooded, never has flooded before, lightning was bad, directly over head and frequent! storm of the year is all i can say, got a pic of the flood
