  1. GFS 18Z show streamers forming from Lincolnshire then moving up slowly to North Yorkshire then more disturbances following same pattern
  2. Depending on the shadow effect from the North York Moors but should always do good being exposed to the Easterly winds.
  3. If its like this for solid 4-5days then I will start to think it could end up better than 2010 for Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
  4. I lived in Doncaster back then and had 32cm with rotherham almost 2ft in places. This has more instability than the 2010 event potentially longer duration so its the potential and risk of being more intense than 2010 if prolonged into Friday.
  5. Amber's and Reds will only appear when its a now cast situation with streamers. That 2010 for us in South Yorkshire only had Amber warning for 2ft of snow haha
  6. Metoffice warning for Sunday / Monday and more snow showing on the automated forecasts!!! UPGRADE AFTER UPGRADE. Now gfs 6z showing more upgrades. I need to calm down ???
  7. That was my worry too! So glad its going in our favour now. Those easterlies back in the day when Northumberland was constantly pasted and Yorkshire just getting scattered mini showers. Proper heart breaking when that happens
  8. Just to show how stubborn cold air can be. The temp on my weather station hasn't got higher than 2c pretty much since yesterday! Still snow cover about and super foggy.
  9. Never thought I'd say this but this potentially could match or better 2010 depending how unstable the flow gets. Hopefully for Yorkshire were not in a gap and Northumberland getting a right old pasting as usual.
  10. One thing for sure this thread will be buzzing with radar images and mini radar predictions from this Saturday! Nothing better than watching that north sea get angry with loads of showers then tracking them all the way to your location. CANT WAIT ✌?
  11. You will end up with more snow than West Yorkshire if this happens. Exposed to the heavier snow showers. Go on met office and look at forecast for scunthorpe it shows heavier snow showers.
