Not too bad here, sunny, a little cold but nothing too bad as feels ok in the sun, just finished mowing the lawn!
-
heavy here and settling fast, surprising as it was sodden out there after all the rain for the past 24 hours or so!
-
chucking it down here and settling readily which is a surprise!
-
ROFL, now THAT's positive thinking for yah
Lol, it is for me - I'm ready for things to start warming up now! Always about this time of year I start to look forward to Mid/Late March and the first signs of some decent warmth.
-
When do you think the temperatures will really start to fall and become marginal for snow chances to start popping up in this area?
Late December I would think.
-
for?
Some more rain.
-
I'm properly in spring mode now, nice sunny weather most of this week and feels nice in the sun, not long until daylight is a lot longer and only 6 ish weeks until BST! Spring warmth can't come fast enough.
-
Just started here, raining that is.
-
I think those further west and south west of the region has been pulling our legs regarding tonights snow.
I had a breif period of snowfall this evening although it was wet snow and did not last to long.
I then took a drive to a friends in reading around 8pm and although the precip seemed heavier its was wet snow & after i left around 10pm there was very little wet snow falling from the sky.
I would be happy to be proved wrong but that's what i seen earlier.
Pretty much spot on - had about 1-2cm which gave a covering minor roads and melted about an hour later.
-
Depends where that area of snow from Eastbourne to Dieppe goes, with all those greens and the length of the front somewhere will get nailed
Looks to me it's dying a death when making landfall so can't see much out of it.
-
had a couple of cm so far now covered everything back up again from Friday's snow - grass all covered - hoping this ends soon - big project on tomorrow and need to be on site not at home!! Don't think the roads are going to be too bad so fingers crossed it's clear between here and Heathrow tomorrow, can't afford another day loss making!
-
big gaps appearing on the radar though now so looks likely it's breaking up and will only be the odd shower here and there.
-
bit of sleet here, more rain than sleet but you never know might be better later!
-
Can't believe there isn't a bit more excitement in here, 20 miles further north and we in the game
Lol - U like rain do you!
-
i have been!!!
Not really any settling snow from west london westwards - too warm really and anything landing on tarmac instantly melts so can't see Heathrow struggling, dropped the neighbour off earlier and got his flight to the States on time without issue.
-
Despite 4 hours of it here none has really accumulated and it's a bit too warm and wet on surfaces that haven't retained Friday's bout so not expecting anything to settle really here. Just driven to Staines and back and roads are clear in the west of this region and expect things to stay that way.

1k a day?
in IT?
I'd BANK that if I were you.
Oh, sorry you are
LOL, high end stuff to banks etc, that's why they're all skint! SAP and Oracle specialists as well lots of others - we are bottom end some of our competitors charge half of that again for a day of a contractor.
-
£6k ...... ? New car?
Lol no loss of business from having to have staff go home early. Run a contracting company in IT and have 12 guys going out for £1k a day so half a day lost is £6k ,lost! £12k on a full snow day but it happens, such is life! New car £6k - not sure what you could get for that much these days.
-
What a superb day! Forecasts spot on, about 12cm here and still a bit of light snow coming down. fantastic! Even though it's cost me about £6k for some snow lol

Anyone getting snow from this band close to the london area?
I am here on the map and can confirm I have nothing despite being in the middle of it for the past couple of hours.
-
ignore the radar - I'm in the far west of this region and it's been over here for about an hour and a half and there is just the odd flake here and there so don't get excited! Wait for tomorrow instead!
-
That whole band is pushing east now.. Could give 1-2CM in places I imagine .... the NAE did pick up on this!
No chance I'm right under it it's about 2-3 snowflakes per minute!
-
Light snow shower here for the past 15 minutes, already have a dusting as surfaces so cold. Certainly wasn't in any forecasts I've seen!

Yep had one, I'm not complaining, don't want anymore! Yep not a great time to be a Gooner but I was hoping for a rubbish season this year and hope we don't qualify for CL next season, it's the only way the club are going to part with some cash and buy some decent players!
