Well even though weve had some snow on and off, its more sleety now and you can hear alot of dripping!, at this rate itll have gone by morning!

There is a bit of dripping going on I think ... the dreaded sound !
Yeah thats why even with it snowing on and off its lost that edge now because you knowits getting washed away. Well it was great while it lasted and got some good pics, lets see when or if the next snow event comes in, would like 1 more good snow event before this winters out!

Well i can report thawing snow tbh and quite a bit, some hedges are totally snowless now!

Snizzle stopped and I advise people not to get there hopes up too much.
Imo i agree, i get the feeling that there wont be a lot, and tbh the temp is thawing some if it now.

watch the bbc forecast mate, could be some settling snow for us southyorkshire areas
Oh right cheers will keep watch out then, there as been a bit of a thaw though, and some of the side roads are that horrible slush!

Currently 1.7 oc had been as high has 2.3 earlier. Very dissapointing this was expecting more the way it was been branded, so is that the snow mainly done till next time?

If memory serves me correct, then deep snow looks like a giant duvet has been draped across the county.
Kinda like this:

No thaw on the latest GFS 12Z run Wayne.
We will have to wait for the other models to come out later, but as I said earlier there is no way that the first Atlantic Low can bring milder air across the UK and on this run, the Atlantic rather calls it a day as High pressure maintains over Norway.
Potentially a serious situation with regard to salt/grit although with more cloud overnight for some areas, at least little in the way of plunging nightime mimima.
Thanks for that, so it looks like we may have the snow laying around a bit then. And with more forecast supposedly bad for round here, the depths may shoot up.

Sorry about this as im no specialist on models, however does it look like that for my area (sheffield), look as though its warming up next week and maybe thaw or is it still looking mosly cool?, cheers

Ive just seen the warnings for here sunday into monday for heavy snow. Hope we get lots, even south yorkshire was at 60% risk!

Me too, we have about 15cm, more in higher parts. The canadians and yanks laugh there socks off at us brits about how we perform, and they say put snow chains on!. Anyway send mre showers here please:yahoo:

Yeah weve lost a lot to the depth here too, been so dissapointing end to this cold spell, last night there was talk as much as poss 20-30 cm and drifts, and weve ended up with it all going!
