  1. A hefty band of storms is just about to hit me in west Cambs. Rumbles of thunder already starting and the sky has darkened. The lightning detector is showing no end of flashes. We heard an amazing storm in the distance during the night, which is probably what most of you have been talking about this morning. It was loud where we were so it must have been amazing if you were under it.

Anyway, the next half an hour could be good!

  2. I know what you mean, when ever there is a ENE wind then theres always a gap in the showers and im normally always in it. pretty frustrating but i think we have more of a chance later on in the evening where the wind becomes a straight easterly.

It's my own fault, really - and I apologise to everyone in Cambridgeshire. I treated myself to a really nice pair of snow boots just after the last cold spell in February. As soon as I bought them, I knew I'd never get the chance to wear them - lol!

  3. Evening all - we've got masses of showers to the north heading towards Leicester and the Midlands, and masses of showers south of London, and absolutely cock all in between. I hate easterlies - you would have thought living in East Anglian is a prime location for easterlies/north-easterlies, but they end up missing out a huge swathe of the region. Oh well - at least some of you Kentonians will have some fun over the next few days. I could have done with a couple of days off work due to being "snowed in" 😄

  4. Throwing it down here, not settling though. Judging by the members out west, should we be expecting it to settle here soon?

It's only just settling on wet roads here - it's topped up the grass nicely, but it's quite wet snow and doesn't look like it will hang around much longer. If it carried on snowing for the rest of the afternoon, it would really top up the roads and paths, but it's moving quickly through
