Had one torrential downpour about an hour ago in Cambridge. Just hearing some rumbles of thunder in the distance now. Looking at the radar, looks as though another downpour, and some thunder,is about to hit.
-
Had two fairly good storms today in West Cambs. Another one is heading this way in the next 15mins or so - can already hear the rumbles of thunder.
-
Was spoilt rotten by an amazing storm in Cambridge earlier today which went on for about an hour and a half. Lost power and phones. Got home and am now experiencing the southern arm of storms that TEITS is under. Lots of thunder and rain, although not quite as good as what Peterborough got. Might be another hour of radar-watching to come

Just getting the first few rumbles of thunder for today in Cambridge. Had a couple of quick downpours earlier, but no storm activity. Just waiting for the rain now to accompany the thunder and lightning. Been quite disappointing today. Thought there would be more storms about, but I guess they're hit and miss

A new month is here and May has passed by.
It became a quite normal temperated month over here.
Avg. Maxima was 16,0°c and the Minima around 5,5°c,
so very near the normal, just ½° above it actually.
The rainfall was just like any May-month, nothing special
really, not especially much, and no extreme drought which
was significant for April this year.
The temperatures varied between -1°c the morning of May 1st,
and 26°c the last day of the month, in the middle of probably
the biggest heatwave in Sweden for a long time in May.
Many stations along the coast of Bothnia had some heat records,
but now into June the heat is over, with a recent newcomer from
the north, a cold front, which has put down temps. with 10-15°
from recent days.
It is now 8,5°c with quite some rain. Yesterday it was 23°c at this
time, quite some difference! And this mess will probably stay here
at least one week further from now.
Hi, Swedish Weather
I'm going on a Baltic cruise next Wednesday (10 June) for 10 days and due to spend a day in Stockholm on 14 June. Look forward to receiving your updates. We're also visiting Copenhagen, Oslo, Helskink, Tallinn and St Petersburg
Hopefully this northerly snap - that we're experiencing as well - will have disappeared by the time we get there
-
Been snowing heavily here for past hour - everything's nicely covered again. A nice little top up on the snow we've had laying around since last week
-
I'm working in Cambridge and there's a dark-pink blob over the city on the radar - it's only rain, though.
-
Snowing here again - quite heavy. Had very heavy snow overnight which resulted in nice covering again. A little bit of rain first thing made it a bit slushy but it's snowing again now. The heavy rain yesterday hasn't washed any of the deep snow cover. Looking at the weather for the rest of this week, it doesn't look like it's going anywhere, meaning that it will have been here for 2 weeks - amazing!
-
Raining here. Temp is 3deg - fortunately the rain's not hard enough to wash any of the deep-lying show away -yet!
-
Still snowing heavily, although looking at the radar it will be fizzling out soon. Wish I was further north in Nottingham - looks like they're getting hammered.
-
You don't sound anything like your picture!
I hope not - that picture is Dave Gahan (I wish I had his money, though)!

Snow is settling on the paths and roads. It's definitely settling on the seven inches of snow we still have on the grass. Hubby swept the remaining snow off the driveway this afternoon. Every time he does this we get more snow. I'm going to superglue the broom to his hand tonight!
-
Just started snowing here at long last - TEITS and I luv Snow, it's coming your way!!
-
In West Cambs, I've been under the pink for the past half an hour, but just getting some light sleet at the moment
-
According to the radar, this front is just about to hit me. Temp here is 2deg. Still have seven inches of snow in my garden. Will report what comes out of the sky as soon as it starts.
-
The Meteox radar has the band, currently across north Cambs, Midlands and south Lincs, just heading north and clearing completely. No sign of anything heading south again.
-
As TEITS has said, been snowing extremely heavily now for an hour and a half. Probably had a couple of inches on top of the 7-8 inches from yesterday. Here's a wintry scene from my back garden. Yesterday my husband cleared all the paths and around the bird tables so he could feed the birds. Looks like he'll be doing it all again later
-
Very heavy snow now in Cambridgeshire - lovely big flakes. Looks like there's a bit more to come on the radar
-
Snowing again here in West Cambs - probably got another couple of cms on top of the six inches we had yesterday
-
Mr Crazy Snowfan is back - where have you been?
-
Temperature hasn't got above 1deg here all day
-
We've got fog here now which is really adding to the wintryness. Just been for a walk and some of the drifts were over a foot high. We were getting some light snow grains walking back but this has now turned to proper snow - it's quite light, but thank god it's not the rain I was expecting!
-
Interesting the BBC weather just shown the band of snow across the south-east extending northwards well in Cambridgeshire and he even mentioned Cambs getting snow tonight - this band has gradually moved north in every weather bulletin today. Could be another interesting night coming up. I've got a foot of snow at the bottom of my garden and 7-8 inches elsewhere. BBC didn't mention any rain today, although the radar has a band heading towards us slowly now. Hope it fizzles out before it gets here
-
Snowing here again in West Cambs - actually had five inches. Another day working from home again!

Just getting some rumbles of thunder here in west Cambs. Looking at the radar, the storm looks as though it will only just skim where I am
