Can the prediction man do a quick one for Motherwell and Kilmarnock if he can find the time? That would be nice of him :-) If he is too busy making calculations for Piers Corbyn or whatever then fair enough.

Why does the met office forecast change all the time? Is it all automated and slight variations throughout the day will alter things? I keep giving up on anything happening tonight in Motherwell then getting hopeful again, I'm up and down like a trampoline here!

Motherwell updated to heavy snow at 0200 on the met office app too. What about tomorrow evening? The BBC forecast has loads of white over us then? Nobody seems to have mentioned that much, are they probably wrong?

Sorry for asking the obvious but is this keeping up all night? That commute from kilmarnock to Motherwell was brutal and I will start looking into taking the train if conditions are similar tomorrow :-D

Hiya, is there a time when this is going to start affecting more Northern areas and we can see what this bad boy has in store for those of us further South? I enjoy tracking these kinds of things as they make their way across the country. Am I right in saying that, right now, everything is in the lap of the Gods and it's just plain old luck (or lack of it) when it comes to trying to forecast snow from something like this? I face a commute from Motherwell to Kilmarnock in the morning which I am expecting to be fine, it is the return journey in the evening that I am a little nervous about. was that junction 4ish? Very slow this morning but I saw no accidents apart from a wee 2 car bump. I've got to brave the road in the morning unless schools start getting shut, unlikely!

Good snowfall in Motherwell in comparison to what there has been previously.

The sky reporter outside celtic park has just informed the nation that it is starting to snow the re.

In motherwell it's trying its wee heart out to snow.

I've a friend who drives for a council in the west coast, they are on standby but haven't been told to put the ploughs on the front of the lorries or anything, he doesn't think much will happen, I'm inclined to agree #reversepsychology

What kind of areas will be affected by the upcoming thing? The snow starved wilds of ayrshire perchance? Love logging onto netweather to show my classes upcoming snow risk and would appreciate some finger detail to cement my status as number one geography teacher!!

The thing on monday looks scary, will I need to hide under the bed or can someone hold me?!

Where are the favoured locations for tomorrow? The rainfall and snow risk charts suggest most places are looking good but I refuse to accept there will ever be decent snow in the west of scotland ever again!

I'm in motherwell and it looks from that radar that precipitation is closing in from all sides almost. Nothing will come of it though.
