Not ventured out yet! Hardly any sleep though with the wind battering the windows. Pleased to report the birds survived, starting to come in the garden looking for food

Getting ice pellets mixed in now, with the wind it's a hell of a noise against the back windows.

Was not expecting to wake up to this snow this morning
Just fed the birds with some homemade fat cakes, feel sorry for them in this weather.

That was extremely eerie, room just started shaking, tv rocking.
Neighbours outside didn't notice anything!

I use the RSPB site to identify any birds i'm not sure of - https://www.rspb.org.uk/birds-and-wildlife/wildlife-guides/identify-a-bird/
Had Blackcaps in the garden for the first time in years, used the above to identify them.
