Snow very heavily and started settling now. It's accumulating very quickly now!

Heavy snow, still not settling!

Light to moderate snowfall began just 10 minutes ago. Not settling though

After a bit of sleet, we are back to heavy snow. Precipitation never really stopped here since i woke up!

Around 10cm has fallen here so far. Still going strong. Snow drifts over 1ft.

There is nothing progged to wash away any blizzards for the SW, at least not for 5 days or so..
GFS totals give nearly 20cm for parts of somerset, which goes to show that the sweet spot"red zone" is really anywhere in met moneys zone of destruction.
GFS also keeps the moderate to heavy snow for many areas for 6 hrs or so and then light snow, chances of other bits and pieces for a while after that.
GFS looks pretty good still for snow away from cornwall and low land devon.
It seems like some areas might have a respite Friday evening before more snowfall in the midnight?

LOL well I just heard the snow area is going to spread out further north and east going deeper into tomorrow, even london has an amber warning now, the main core of the blizzards will be across the sw, wales and n.ireland tonight and tomorrow morning, but then the snow will spread out more to a wider area, for some areas, tomorrow will bring the worst blizzards for over 20 years, nearly a foot of snow and deep drifts by tomorrow night.
