    Been snowing all day West of Derby and in the last 15 minutes it has become quite heavy again

    Latest forecast from Met office just on Radio Derby (obviously for Derbyshire) snow will be heavy at times this morning, then on and off all day Saturday into Sunday still some snow around and will totally stop by Monday! East Midlands Airport closed they have 12 cm of snow. Here west of Derby I have measured 15 cms.

    BBC East Midlands weather reports are from people that are not actually weather forecasters. They just read it out. They also do local East Midlands Radio and whenever they are asked a question about the technical side of the weather they always say I don't know or will come back to you. Poor effort BBC Local.

    Snowing quite heavy now just west of Derby (been snowing now since 2pm). Measured the top of my wheelie bin and it's currently 4 inches wind has also got up as well now

    Without doubt Derby's biggest snow event of the year so far. Another hour or so of snow I guess as a nice additonal radar track brings it in from west of Uttoxter and snowing heavily still
