lets hope this batch of showers deliver the goods for us in tyne and wear. looking like it will arrive around 0200 hrs. hopefully the ground will have dried out enough and the temperatures are more favourable for snow.

Nice dusting here this morning, looks like plenty more to come with showers affecting eastern parts of the region all night tonight. lovely cold clear day tomorrow to enjoy the snow in!

Okay so still plenty of precipitation around tomorrow but looking very marginal.Some showers should push in overnight into Monday on the north/north east wind and these look like being much less marginal, heaviest towards the coast. i would post charts but can't work out how to on my phone. Just seen the 1030 bbc forecast and it showed rain for much of the northeast tomorrow afternoon!

dont despair just yet,still some precipitation around Sunday night when the temperature should drop and turn things more snowy for coastal/low lying areas. i would be happy with a dusting which lasts the week in cold temperatures

plenty of precipitation around on Sunday, could be sleety on the coast i reckon.

lots of snow running down the east coast on the 6h gfs run for Sunday into Sunday night, could leave a fair covering for some!

Okay so a downgrade in the models this morning with no real easterly to speak off. however still looks cold to me. Sunday is looking snowy on the latest gfs for the north east with plenty of precipitation, will it be cold enough!

Ecm has been doing this all yeah only to downgrade to a slack easterly like today, boring!

Lets hope for some high pressure to get over the UK with some sun and frosts, sick of these easterlys which are not cold enough. As for Wednesday a few centimeters before getting washed away over night i cant think of anything worse lol.
