    I don't want to jump the gun here but going on current model runs today and the general feeling I have at the moment about where the Weather for the UK is heading over the coming weeks... All I can say is.. I can smell a beast from the East brewing.

    I hope your right Andy because we are running out of Winter days now ....!

    A very common 2011/12 Winters day here in Sheffield - Warm (10c), windy & sunny

    Otherwise it will go down as one of the warmest Winters for a long time :-(

    For all you coldies out there, we still have half of the Winter still left (I know it's always tomorrow) but to lighten the mood , I enclose the link to the 20th Century's worst Winter - 1947 ....and it did'nt start until 21st January ...and lasted until mid March - enjoy the article..!

    Hi yorkieblade, you are welcome here and you can post in which ever regional thread you like, quite a few members visit more than one regional, especially when we are busy and they get split into smaller area's. It's often a good way of seeing what;s coming your way or comparing snow depths with your neighbouring counties.

    Sorry to be off topic ...Not sure which Regional forum I ought to be in ...help required please ...my location is south Sheffield close to the NE Derbyshire border ...I will ask the same question in the Midlands Forum......!

    Currently -2 ,clear skies ..and the REAL cold air has'nt arrived yet ..looking a bit more like our Winter may start on Friday onwards....!
