Accordining to customers at work roads are shocking in Consett!! I may get snowed in here in Stanley considering their was nothing at 3.30 and now a good covering has settled in 2 hours.

Anybody want to guess whether we get snow in Tyne and Wear tonight. Do you think the temps/DPs will drop far enough ??

Personally I think it is borderline, may get some slushy sleety messy stuff overnight but would love to be enlightened further. I would like to walk home from the pub tonight in the snow, in Ryton, but somehow think I may just get wet !!

Snow line just below Stanley so I think you may be dissapointed, also weather is to move further North later on as we become dry.

Building up nicely here now at Hownsgill Park, sounds strange but I'm not looking forward to leaving work and going home to Stanley, probably nothing there.

Our courier driver just said there's not even snow in Blackhill and Shotley.

Coming down heavily now, another hour and it will be dodgy in Stanley with rush hour traffic.

Weird drive from Stanley to Consett about an hour ago, snow lying from Consett to Greencroft then nothing in Stanley!!? Snowing heavily now though and begining to settle.

I have to drive to Stanley later this afternoon and then drive back to Consett at 11.30 tonight. Hmmm!!

Just gone from Bridgehill to Consett and in that short drive temp dropped by 1.5 degrees. Snowing in Consett and in this wind could be intersting later on.

Fine snow covering all surfaces, heavier stuff seems to be pushing back in across the region.

Snow quite heavy in Durham, giving a covering even on the roads. Back to Consett and hardly anything!! Seems band is sitting to the South of the region.

Snowing in Consett, although very wet bordering on turning to sleet. Slight covering overnight frozen over.

Heavy sleet showers here in lower Consett is it snow on the tops? Just asking as I'm lying in bed ill! Looking messy for next week, nowcasting seems the best form of forcasting as models for weeks now cannot agree.
