  1. Just driven back along A350 from Melksham to Trowbridge and spotted two little cells producing a healthy amount of CC/CG strikes :)

There looks to be another much larger band of heavy rain following it.

Fingers crossed - i'm very tempted to chase this with a tripod and ND filters ;)

if i could get out i would be heading for whitesheet hill or ontop of the white horse .

no need to chase this storm its heading right for us :)

  2. do i charge everyting up again... hummmmmm

but in outher news i have just made my first android weather app :)

takes the best of the free data online and puts it in your hand..

    needs debugging thou :(

i so really NEED good storm and i hope this setup will work in the favour of wilthire.

its 14.8 deg in the center of westbury at the moment and its sticky at 62% humidity.

2005 . now that is what i call a strom :) in my tent in the vip area of the dance village with cg landing 20 meters away from my tent :)

    sorry for my ramblings

    :)

lets have a good one eh just one !!!

  3. I'd have to say what appears to be an MCS now over the channel is surviving and retaining electrical activity presumably because it is based above the boundary layer. Even the homegrown storm is keeping going well so maybe some activity well into the evening ?

thats what i am counting for :)

car is fuled kit is charged :)

just drinking coffee and radar watching for the moment.

  4. The first proper storm day of the year, although yesterday was alright.

    Looking forward to watching developments.

Westbury in Wiltshire sneaks into the bottom of some of the forecasts, I think a good chance of some showers down here but thunderstorm activity more focused to other parts as has been mentioned. But you never know. :D

Edit: Not sure if it has been mentioned but met office have the yellow warning out for the relevent areas for heavy rain from showers and thunderstorms. Not surprising given how slow they will be moving!

Also, dewpoints much better today, already widely 9-12!

so it may be worth grabbing the cam gear and heading up to the white horse later :)
