    Good to know Roger. I also think the first 7 days of May are going to be quite special and also the rest of May to that matter, this year just feels like it is going to be active from Late March probably to Late June!

    Officially an F5 Claire but DOW Trucks measured an inconceivable Wind Speed just East of the F5 Whilst it was at Bridge Creek (Old Fujita Scale did have an F6 On the Scale) which was termed Inconceivable at over 310mph.

    Would not like to see Oklahoma City get hit like that again btw, a Mile Wide Wedge across farmland which gets an EF2/ 3 Rating would be much better than hitting a Poulated area and getting the Maximum EF5 Ratng :good:

    The Similarities between 1999 and 2011 are pretty scary at the moment, almost to the date we have had the same type of Outbreaks in the same areas in 2011 as they were in 1999. February and March's Outbreak days were only out by a few days in the Same Areas.

    Take a look at the below for the similarity between 8th April 1999 and 9th April 2011

    You dont want to see the New CFS USA Charts Netweather has access too, had a peek and would love to tell you what the 30th April to 9th May shows but Ian Michaelwaite has told me to keep stumm!

    He said he might post some charts up in the next few days before his skiing trip.

    thx for everyones input on cards ect..I only take cash but now considering one of these cards

    why dont people just take all the cash with them..this is what I normally do

    its just the changing into dollars is a pain

    why bother with cards??

    Hey Pat, yes I did , normally you have to pay for the card but I found a deal for a free one. Without running the numbers I reckon Caxton and Fairfax are fairly much the same , you get a better rate on Fairfax, but you have a 1.50% transaction fee added on. With Caxton you get a slightly lower fx rate but you don't pay the transaction fee .

    I was planning to use cold hard cash when I was out there as I'm not so sure Mastercard is as widely used as Visa.............I maybe wrong :pardon:

    I did a lot of research into the best card and Caxtonfx won the deal. It's backed-up by Newcastle Building Society so your money is as safe as it could be.

    mmm interesting so is the Fairfax , on balance there's probably no diffference then as i got a better rate on fairfax than caxton

    Yep earlier in this thread we were discussing the Caxton card, of which I have one for intermittent use.

    you seem to get a better fx rate on fairfax fx but there is a 1.5% transaction fee so it's probably better to use if you are only planning to withdraw cash. I chose this one more as you aren't protected on pre paid cards if the Company goes bust

    Its odd I am looking forward to this, but it just hasn't quite sunk in that im actually going to be doing this!

    The feeling doesn't go away at least until you've seen your 1st real supercell...........then it's even weirder when you've been back for a few month's and you look back at your photos
