Did i read earlier that someone was gonna put a chart of the predicted precipitation and compare it to the live one just gone to see the outcome? Would be intrested to find out!!! nice beefy clouds towering coming up from the IOW here had a very heavy shower earlier and thats it.

To me i dont know if anyone else would agree but that heavy stuff over the cherbourg peninsula seems to be heading heading for the central southern England ie me!!!! lol but that might me too positive thinking?

sounds good to me!! look forward to tomorrow!! lol To be honest i think it could be the sort of setup with the heavy squally showers in the winter where they line up with one after another and see em sweep on through!!! but im hoping for a thunderstorm!! or a rumble with interesting cloud formations would do!

Well that was a non entity night just 10 mins of heavy rain,which you wouldnt even think happend and for the cooler conditions? it is very warm and very very humid, best hope maybe wednesday or friday for any electrical stuff though tomorrow we are supposed have heavy showers so might get a rumble? you never know but wednesday looks like the most hopefull day

well nothing here for the solent so far but time will tell!!! not got my hopes up as these things never go to plan

The biggest cell ive seen this year was a duracell!! It was alsothe most electrical event tooo! lol Those lucky french eh? Crap world cup and they get all the storms!! we had a crap world cup too! On the meridian weather they said things will turn thundery on monday!!

Just something i couldnt help but noticing is Wednesday looks like most of the the country has chance of a thunderstorm/thundery showers, i know its a long way and off and probably will diminish but thought its worth mentioning!! Oh and whats going to happen on sunday all that cape and li and thunderstorm chance is gonna be slap bang over the solent and not move for a few days yeah?:unsure: Abit off topic but still about storm's lol, Least there is no BSB (bike racing) this weekend last weekend at Knockhill was a washout and windy when that storm system moved across scotland. However for the F1 who knows?

still nothing exciting down here we used to get loads of storms down here mostly coming up with the spanish plume which im guessing we will probably never see again. I doubt nothing much is gonna happen down here anytime soon!!! sigh lol

Well i can say i havent heard any thunder from that rain in southern England which hasnt quite arrived yet but is knocking on the door step!!! If anything comes from it ill keep you posted!!

whats happening with that pulse of rain across the central part of southern Britain? im just under the cloud cover on the eaast of i know its dissipating but could any thundery activity occur as it brings all the moisture from France and Spain or will it just mount to nothing?

Can anyone confirm if there has been any thunder/lightning in the Poole area? Or has blizortung detector on the iow weather lightning detector gone nuts? It says there has been lightning everywhere lol

The met office has now seemed to gone backwards in there forecast for next week saying at first "There is an increasing chance of thundery showers the southern part of England" to now "There is a low risk" etc : (

There seems to be a shower becoming stronger just north of me nr southampton, any ideas what it could turn into? or just remain a shower? its a cumulonimbus which is nice to see rather than cirrus all the time

WOW i woke up and couldnt believe my eyes......it had rained!!!! now feels ten times more humid tho. All we need now is for a storm to develop the afternoon yeah right!! tho we can hope!!!!

lets hope for the end of the week even if its just rain!!
