My son saw the weather yesterday and got all excited, I told him the weather man is talking out his bum, when you wake up in the morning there will be no snow. Guess what.... lol!! Don't like been a pessimist but better that him waking up to this thinking we was going to get snow. Hate been right!

I am not getting hyped for any snow, missed all the showers today, some by mear miles. I fully expect Shropshire to produce rain or failing that produce a bubble where 90% of the midland see snow while Shropshire basks in the huge NO falling from the sky....

I must live in the only place in Shropshire that has not seen snow! Madness! Roll on summer and the grey clouds! Yawn!

Feel your pain, 7 miles down the road in Madeley they had a dusting of snow, yet here in Hadley nothing just cold rain! I though I was pretty elevated as well....

Agree 100% there must be something geographic that causes it! It does happen time and time again. I is not that we are just unlucky. The clouds in summer you could bet you house on, clear skies in 90% of the uk, then this grey stubborn muck slap bang over Shropshire!

Wow! The rain is biblical. The wind was so strong at one point I feared for the fences! Lightning is constant. No real booming thunder but epic non the less!

I can see this from my front door in Haldly it is a beauty. Picture does not do it justice.

Heard the thunder from it, did not see any lightning. My eldest was pretty upset, only 7 and he wanted to see lightning I have given him the thunderstorm bug lol!!

Plenty of audible thunder in the distance think the shower it is coming from is just going to skim Telford, well north Telford. Kids are in the garden waiting for the heavy rain lol!

Well I am still here, never really left! I have got to the point that I think the last real thunderstorm I can remember was 3 years ago! This past few days I have seen some of the heaviest rain ever, it flooded my garage. But there was no thunder. Then Monday there were storms over Newport way I could hear the thunder from but saw no lightning. Yesterday was the worst. Got so excited hearing deep booms and checked the lighting maps site, constant lighting. Then the weather gods went nah you ain't having that and the storms took a more northerly direction! So yes I have heard distant thunder but nothing within 10 miles. Gutted.

The weather gods certainly are not smiling on us! Hopefully we get to see something this summer, been really unlucky this time around, storms all around but nothing really overhead. Had some heavy rain Sunday which flooded the garage, but no thunder, has some distant thunder Monday from the storm over Newport. Got to hear some deep booms from the Wolverhampton storm but that was it. My lad who I was trying to get interested in weather said it's boring and has gone to play minecraft, then he mocks me to say at least it thunders on my game
