  1. Away from the fun and games now, mainly impressive rain rates it must be said, there is a low risk of eastern areas catching a rumble of thunder tomorrow in any of the more intense showers that develop. Places like Scarborough and other eastern coastal locations tend to do better out of these setups. Nevertheless it is hardly worth mentioning really, straw clutching at it's best!
  2. Yes not really the ideal day for thunderstorms, but at least the potential is there! The SE really needs a bit of luck today, ie a multicell to get going, something a bit stronger than the weak pulse efforts that seem the most likely form of storm today. Unlikely though.
  3. Unfortunately yes! A write off this week. I'd readily write up a short 'no storms' forecast for the whole of this week, but Sod's Law says something would happen then. Maybe I should?!
  4. Main storm risk areas next week for England, going by current GFS output is E and SE England on Tuesday afternoon/evening. S and E England on Saturday afternoon/evening. Risk is pretty low on both instances, so a quiet week in store with the Azores High keeping a lid on thundery activity for the most part.
