    Just one thing to point out, sometimes the models cannot detect snowfall even half hour out, yet alone 2 months lol

    Yes Boydie you are correct, at this stage it is a 50-50 chance and could end up going either way, but to my untrained eye, the trend this year is similiar to last year, temps average and not hot, frequent outbursts of heavy rain, so will the trend for this winter go in the same direction as last year? Only time will tell.

    Is it me or have the seasons reverted back to old traditional setups for the time being i.e December, January, February - Winter March, April May - Spring June, July, August - Summer September, October, November - Autumn Maybe we will see a much higher risk of a White traditional christmas period over the next few years?

    Hi All I'm new to this forum, but I thought it would be good to learn of you more experienced members, so i joined. I love winter, so hopefully i will be able to learn more weather patterns during this winter and maybe contribute to this forum. The snow we had here last year was marginal but i'm hoping for more sustained percipitation this year, can anybody advise me on the best weather set-up to enable us to get a good load of snow in my location of South East Wales please?
