  1. Well there is a neutral approach. Just report what is happening and give honest assessment without a hint of bias.

Your right,I think the title of this thread says it all,its encouraging those who enjoy snow to comment on it. So rather than commenting on a thread which will likely be full of people who wish to share their enjoyment of snow,if anyone doesn't share that view then either don't comment, or start a thread titled "How big is your dislike for snowy weather". That way those who don't like it can complain about it without fear of someone who does like it getting involved.  Replys which go against the obvious tone of a threads title cause no harm, who cares, but the intention is to in a passive aggressive kind of way wind people up and start arguments, which happens all the time.  Really don't know why folk can't just be grown up,its pretty poor

  2. Ah yes, good old Dec 2010, an amazing time. I remember getting caught in the first snow spell, really unexpected and so severe! I went from driving in it to being totally stuck in what seemed like a really short time, it was awesome to see everywhere just go quiet and still as everyone ran for home. Really do hope to see the likes again!

  3. I would love the chance to be addicted to snow! I feel a winter without any severe events is pretty much a wasted winter. I despise the summer I really do. I don't judge those who don't however lol nothing better than when the days are short, crisp evenings followed by heavy snow. Admittedly when it starts affecting transport for more than a couple of days, even for me it gets a bit much, but I'd rather have snow than high temps (anything over 10 degrees!) any day of the week

  4. Not sure we are pointing towards anything decent this winter, mind you, I predicted a decent winter the last 2, what possessed me to do so in 13-14 god only knows but last year most expert expected a decent one so maybe me going mild this year will do the trick, my forecasting has been absolutely diabolical for a good while now!

I totally agree with that but if I start a winter thread then I am doing no harm but it will get taken down straight away by you.

Couldn't agree more,I never understand the reaction to winter threads, instead of not reading them people go ballistic if they appear a day before they personally want them to. As forecasting is such an imprecise science I see no harm in people talking about winter in summer if they want to. It's a cardinal sin though it seems

  5. A mild cool summer, crisp autumn and cold snowy severe winter. Spring can do what it likes as long as I get the other three lol can't stand summers in the 20s, can't wait for it to be done so the proper countdown to start. Nothing better than when the good old winter predictions start. I see there are a few already, earlier than usual - fine by me!

  6. No signs of anything seasonal in central. Hovering about 1 degree earlier, but doesn't feel interesting. Quite dreary really. I know nothing about forecasting in any way but it doesn't feel like we're going to see anything interesting anytime so on. Hope I'm wrong
