  1. THe 19.8C is on my digital thermometers outside. I am in LS15 area. I have just got into work and our Building Management System reports 19.3C outside.
  2. Hello Norfolkweather Tonight at 22:10 its dropped to 19.30C this is warmer than some summer evenings have been this year! Is this what they mean by Indian Summer?
  3. Good evening everyone Here tonight in Leeds its 19.8C and very muggy indeed... is this normal for this time of year? Not complaining like its better than August!
  4. Ive also been reading it with interest... He does know what he is on about so I dont think its all scare tactics I just think he is very confident in what he says. It could just be luck but some of his blogs going back further on his own site do show that he predicted a harsh winter last year with facts to back it up when the met office were predicting a mild one.
  5. Im at work at the moment and its rather stuffy, the air con is switched off over night and its 27c!
  6. I have air conditioning throughout my flat that also does the heating (heat pump) and in both summer I keep rooms at 22C during the day when im up and about and then 23C at night when sat down in front of the tv. At night the bedroom is at 22C to sleep in. Without the air con on my bedroom which has massive bay windows gets the sun from when it comes up to about mid morning and the room can easily get upto 30C, luckily I fitted blackout curtains that reflect most of the suns heat back out so the room can get upto 25C without the air con on. The lounge can get upto 28C on a hot day and thats with no sun facing windows, its a victorian house so its so badly insulated and due to other rooms such as bedrooms getting heated by the sun the heat goes through to other rooms. In winter I keep bedrooms at about 20C and lounge at 22C. IF its really cold out the house walls get cold inside and due to the high ceilings its nessasary to bump it upto 23C to offset draughts from the air cooling against the walls. Humidity in summer is usually about 55% and winter can be about 45 to 55%
  7. Hey everyone, this is my first post on the forum so please be gentle with me: I am really interested in the coming winter to the point of becoming obsessed with reading up about peoples predictions etc on the internet.... glad to have found this forum to discuss with like minded people. I initially got started when I came across this discussion after googling "winter 2010/2011 predictions"... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/newsdebate/r/t-10137958/index.html (if you want to read it from the beginning you need to read it from page 10 -1 as page 1 contains the most recent posts at the top. Recently a poster called weathergeek has been participating and has shown some very good points... I have been following his blog etc... http://globalcoolingnewiceageuk.blogspot.com/2010/09/uk-winter-forecast-update-201011.html and he is also on twitter although doesnt participate as much. I know its very early to start causing mass panic but on another forum that I participate on I posted a similar sort of thing in the discussion forums and was met with mixed replies. http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?t=2704029 Anyway I am really hoping for a proper traditional christmas just like last year was nice cold/snowy and being cosy at home on xmas day with the family. It was great! I do believe positive weather solutions forecasted a cold winter and the low temperatures upto March.
