In Italy november is mild so far and a lot of rain has fallen during this month.During recent days, however, there was a significant drop in temperature and weather conditions became winter in northern and central Italy but today there is a new rising temperatures in the south and then in the Rome's area, with highs around 20°,more in Sicily.

Today in Italy:Rome +19°(mean temperature);Naples +20°;Bari +21°;Palermo +21°;Cagliari +22°;Milan +13°;Florence +17°.

The winter 2005/06 was relatively cold in Italy.Already in late November it snowed in various parts of the country but in January it snowed in Apulia, Campania, Calabria.On some areas of the Alps, however, were much more snow and cold the last two winters.Expecially last winter was very cold and snowy in northern Italy in February and it snowed a little in Rome.

During the weekend are expected heavy rainfall throughout Italy, especially in the center, north and western coasts.The temperatures, however, will be warm and it will snow in the mountains alone.

Today is the incoming cooler air from the Arctic. There will be snow at altitudes too high hill in central and southern regions.

The summer of 2003 in Italy was certainly the hottest of the last two centuries.In some areas of northern Italy there were anomalies up to +4 degrees Celsius, while in central Italy and Sardinia anomalies were about 3 degrees Celsius . In southern Italy, however, they were slightly lower. June and August were exceptionally hot and dry months in 2003.

The last winter has been very cold in the north Italy, where results in a lot of zones the iciest from 1990. In the south Italy has been enough mild, except February, when it has snowed on the western coast and also in Rome, where it almost never happens.

Last summer in Italy was hot, but not much more than normal.June in the center and the north has been relatively cool, while July was very hot, especially the first 20 days.August was normal, although in the last decade it was very hot,as in all Europe. However, it wasn't a terrible summer like other recent seasons, especially those of 2003,2008 and 2009.

In southern Italy snows every year in the mountains and in the Adriatic coast it is relatively frequent, because there is the Balkan influence, while on the Tyrrhenian coast it is rare.However last winter it snowed in some central location on the Tyrrhenian coast, and in Febbruary 2009 it snowed in Palermo(Sicily). During the winter of 2005, for example, it snowed in several cities of southern Italy, even at sea level and especially in Calabria and Campania.On January 2006 it snowed in Taranto on the Ionian Sea.

In Italy, usually in October is a month of transition, like april.But the transition to the north is faster, while in the south and islands, the transition to autumn weather is really much more slow.Infatti Sicily in the south wind is able to carry on up to 25 or 30 degrees Celsius in the second part of October, as has happened in 2004.In some years, however, even in the south in October was quite cool and rainy, as the southern climate is influenced by fresh Balkan currents.

Instead, in southern Italy the first part of autumn is still warm, although the second half of the rains begin in October, also often intense.In Sicily summer temperatures remain until the middle or end of October and until November begins definitely cool and rainy season.
