Looking reasonable this weekend
Maybe for you lucky lot in SE England.
Here those graphics show cloud with nearby rain on Saturday & cloud with patchy rain on Sunday. I’m struggling to withhold my excitement.

Another bright, sunny & very acceptable start to the day. It’s actually not been an overly bad Easter Weekend IMBY. A lot of cloud about at times, sunshine here & there too, warm and mainly dry (at least during daylight hours). Could’ve been better but could’ve been far worse too.
There’s always a bit of bad news though. Can’t help but remind you all of what’s to come at some point this afternoon/evening depending on where you are in the region;
make the most of the sunshine currently!!
Working week ahead looks a bit meh. Not a washout by any means, rainfall looks sporadic and patchy most of the time. Expect a lot of cloud and dullness around though. Fifty shades of Grey!!

To be fair, @jy’s garden is in need of a drop of rain, so we welcome it with open arms.

Tuesday looks decent here which is surprising. Possible showers in the afternoon but not a particularly strong signal for it, lower mid teens and overcast. Could be good for cycling.
We really are scraping a very empty barrel if that constitutes a decent, early April day.

Sun is out here. Everyone is sat inside but I am sat in the garden legs akimbo and splayed out in the sun like a washed up bin bag. I can feel the strength on my pallid, grey skin and it’s glorious
I’d be one of those sat inside still. It’s sunny here today, lovely compared to recent days, but still only a fresh 13.8c currently. Not warm enough for me to sit in a beer garden/park/beach yet. Need to get up towards 20c for me personally, for that.
Nevertheless, still feels lovely in the sun, nippy when clouds pass over though. Shame the outlook is more of what we’ve recently had, rather than what we have today.

There’s been some bad school runs however this is about to be THE WORST EVER!!!!
Kids have broken up for Easter here so no school run is one saving grace. Sounds like Wiltshire are breaking up at the very last minute then.

Some amazing cloud to ground fork lightning over Shepton Mallet. Not frequent, but very sharp when it does happen.
Not much rain/hail though.

Snowing in SW Ireland today
We’ve had sleet/wet hill snow in SW England today. Not warm here at all. Much the same expected through the rest of the week too. I think I’ve finally come to the conclusion that our seasons are messed up! Not expecting anything, sustained, warm & sunny for the foreseeable future.

Nothing is more exciting than a Gareth Southgate managed team!!

This is turning out to be one of the worst starts to Spring, IMBY, for quite some time. Consistently dull, consistently cloudy, often wet and not all that warm lately either.
I can count on one hand the number of sunny, dry days I’ve had IMBY, & even those were partly sunny, partly cloudy.
So much for a 20c March here!!!

I find them often wrong for North London (like Saturday was supposed to rain in the morning and clear later, instead it rained for 5 minutes in the afternoon). BBC usually more accurate.
I don’t use Apps at all, regardless of provider (whether it’s the MetO, BBC etc). Apps are computer generated and generally unreliable for any sort of detail other than a very broad brush view of things.
Meto TV forecast along with radar projections & of course, Netweather’s forecasts are generally what I use to forecast the next 24/48 hours or so. I then interpret modelling myself for a few days after that. Beyond about 5 days I don’t even bother with aside for a bit of fun as I don’t find anything particularly reliable beyond then (for micro detail).

This is what Meto says. There is no rain outside at the moment, neither heavy nor light. And people still believe their forecasts for April lmao This weekend was nice btw a bit chilly at times, but alright.
I’m in Acton at the moment for work and I can confirm it’s raining here so it’s right for this part of London.

I can’t remember the last time I used an ATM or cash. Even local, self employed tradespeople local to me take card and/or bank transfer now.
Generally speaking, I don’t even carry a wallet with me anymore. I have my few bits of ID locked away in a hidden compartment in my car, otherwise I just use ApplePay. If anything goes wrong or suspect, I can lock my card/account within seconds in just a few clicks.

matt111 Some pokey sun in Westbury currently.

I know it’s not Warminster but not a million miles away. Over the Mendips it’s quite often been foggy in mid afternoon over the last few weeks.
Driving along Old Frome Road as been a typical hotspot for lingering fog, at times surprisingly dense too. Cranmore another hotspot.

2 weeks today, since returning from the Caribbean. I need sun and real warmth again.
Better book your yearly trip to the Canary Islands then Si!

You’ll get a taste of Spring/early summer in the east/south east over the weekend. Spare a thought for those of us in the west where it’s business as usual;
At least I can be warm when admiring the grey skies I suppose!
