  1. I live in a village south of Manchester on border of Peak District and can see places like Kinder Scout from where I live. Earlier saw a lot of convective cloud and bluu sky directly over my head. Now, from the south, a lot of convective cloud is moving over and the sky is getting cloudier with very interesting cloud interms of its texture.
  2. I ma no weather expert but looking from Disley to Kinder Scout I can see lots of convective cloud formations. Beautiful sight really.
  3. Thank you for that. Very interesting. Next time there is convective weather in the afternoon I am to go to black rocks in higher Disley and take images of convective activity with Manchester on one side and Kinder etc on the other. Lovely view, though just hope I don't get struck by lightening, lol.
  4. Do you mean a cloud to produce a tornado? I live in Disley and into photography and would of loved to catch that dramatic cloud formation. Rain has eased of here so hopefully it will pick up and get some awesome weather. I love stoms. The breeze we had before has gone too.
  5. Rain has arrived in Disley, South of Stockport / Manchester. Hope to get some rumbles soon. Watching radar on metoffice BETA. Seems a lot is to come from the south.
  6. I live in Disley south of Manchester and confirm thunder. Large dark clouds passing over too.
  7. I was hoping to do some photography today in Edale and around that area. Does anyone know the current snow depth for that area? Thinking of getting the train over in an hour or so, but I may stay in if it's going to be cold. I was a cold lover, but am getting to be a lover of green, warmth and blue sky's recently with convective clouds.
