tiny flakes coming down , hasnt moved above freezing all day , but it dosent feel that cold. looking ahead is there a possibility that we will see more snow on sun/mon /tuesday, noticed there has been some posters saying it is coming back.

stopped snowing here now , but it has gone very dark over the fields , is there more snow for later on for my area ,?

if there is a stall . does this mean that there will be more heavier snow for areas , as i have seen on some parts of the site that the snow is filtering out , and that the snow is moving very quickly across wales , not giving the amount that they said we may get. making its way furthur across the country.Southern most counties of Wales..

which areas will this affect most?Front is slowing down and within the front a more organised and heavier band of precipitation to the west, should be here in a hour or so.

where can you see the precipitation charts as to the increase of snow , looked at net weather radar am i looking in the right place ?Those showery bits out west seem to be merging well with the main band now. This ties in with the NAE showing precipitation really increasing between now and midday I guess. Then dying off this afternoon.

there is a bit of snow here , started about 4 oclock, with very fine snow still snowing but not as much as i thought we would have had, all roads are clear .
if there is a stall does that give us heavier snow ,

near hay on wye / glasbury , slight breeze starting up temp at 2.2. quite " warm "

can i expect to see snow here friday and saturday mike ? hay/glasbury areaIs anyone else getting excited? A few comments:
1) Radar shows precip over NW Wales currently, any reports as to whether this is rain, snow, or non-existent (i.e. radar anaprop, evaporating before it hits the ground, etc?) This wasn't modelled, but is now showing on the latest GFS, NAE and (to some extent) NMM runs. It isn't likely to amount to much but yet again shows the difficulty in forecasting precip.
2) There is likley to be some light precip around tomorrow, which should be snow in the east of Wales, may be rain out west. This doesn't really have much bearing on what happens Friday.
3) The 12z models for Friday look similar to the 0z to me (from a quick glance not any close analysis) no real upgrade or downgrade either way. One thing I'd like to say though is people are talking about a snow to rain event, but it may be the other way round, i.e. start as rain but turn to snow as the low pressure undercuts and the winders back SErly, or it might be snow to rain to snow again. So please no premature moaning, only moan when you are sure you have missed out!

feeling totally confused ..
some say........... rain no snow
some say .......lots of snow all weekend.
some say .....no snow just cold.
some say.........snow turning to rain.
some say .........hard luck you are in the snow hope postcode lottery .........it could be you.
can anyone here give us a little clue as to what really is the most likelihood of this weekend>

nothing here at all , rained most of the day ,Yes I think so, should be there now? If not it may just be missing you East, but as others are saying it should veer later. It's mostly missing me tbh just getting a bit of light snow on the edge, if it were just 10miles west and I'd be right in the thick of it.
will keep an eye on my lamppost.

will it come to my area , hay /, glasburyI am now! Started as sleet but proper snow now, moderately heavy, settling on some surfaces. The very tip of the streamer has just reached me so if the angle stays the same then looks good, but a slight shift in wind direction will scupper me. Snowdonia must be getting pasted!

just started to snow here 4 miles from hay on wye 2 miles from glasbury on wye. large flakes turning to rain , 38 minutes from when mike o carroll posted it in llandrindod wells . .

on the forecast board it says no snow for wales , that we will miss out, is there a good chance this will be the case? noticed that piers corbyn says that wales will be severly hit with snow >

do you think that if it does snow that it will come to wales as i saw earlier that wales and south would miss out.

just seen on forum that it is an easterly and that wales will miss out on the snow , do you think this is true and that we will just have rain instead.?

all of my daughters were born in february starting in 1979 up to 1989 and there has always been snow lying on the ground or falling around that time ( born 5th / 14th / 15th . i think that after the new year we will see huge snow falls maybe middle jan begining february, and i think this for no reason apart from thinking it might happen.

this will be only about the 2nd time i have not seen it either snowing , or a lot of laying snow outside my door for nearly 30 years. all of my kids were born in february and there has been snow every year from what i can remember............. however there is not a speck of snow any where near me this year.

my temps are still minus 4 but just noticed there is a slight breeze , and yet it dosent feel that cold outside. on the other thread it said it was furthur west now,. does that mean the difference between snow and rain for us?
