Was very light snow in Manchester this morning

I would say a chance of a very small accumulation looking at the models but not so confident now as the Met Office have even taken me out of the yellow warning zone now.

No snow in Wythenshawe yet (By Manc Airport) but feels cold outside

By the looks of things us here in the south of NW England will get some snow before that front even clears through. These heavy showers are relentless, and as soon as the colder air AHEAD of the front passes over, evaporative cooling is going to be working overtime to ensure that these showers turn readily to snow. I think this is win win for us in the south of NW England. Let's hope the Irish Sea can keep churning out these showers. We should actually see activity INCREASE for a time as 850 values drop by another 2-3 degrees. Interesting times.

Was at the city match had loads of snow but the missus said just rain in wythenshawe. Goes to show what a few miles can do. Enjoyed this event and sorry to those who didn't get anything

Currently on the bus into Manchester. Light snow picked up just passing through rusholme. Should be ok for more snow later

was outside 15 mins ago and saw a coating of either snow or hail on the cars outside (south manchester wythenshawe, by the airport)
looked more like snow than hail though
