Yes, the 06z GFS showing what could happen if the low tracks further north;
Some particularly heavy snowfall around the Southampton/Portsmouth area and over the Isle of Wight for a time there.
Roger even mentioned the isle of wight..
We have had a few flakes in the wind this morning... Current temps 3C at the moment.
I know everyone's attention is focused on possible snowfall(so is mine),but for me,these projected winds are equally exiting.
Falmouth bay already looks like a mountain range this morning and it's set to get worse.
It's really v rare to see such high winds from this east/n.east direction
get down there and take some pics.

Got to say those wind speeds+direction are as exiting to me as the possible snow.
Haven't had a real big east storm for many years now.If the GFS12z verified it would be a classic.
So strong winds and possible snow.. could be interesting....

Coffe, yes thats what was forecast yesterday for today but since been downgraded, just light flurriy today but tuesday day and in to night is of concern, 10-15 cm could be possible if the front stalls.
Thank you, Seems the radio stations should check there information out before saying it...

A friend of mine has asked a question, I know some of you will be able to answer...
If the jet stream has moved, does that increase the chances of the gulf stream moving also? If so, Winter could be interesting... ??
