    definitely, the road was like a river, makes you realise just how quickly things can get bad!

    I had the worst drive home over an hour ago, I had to stop the car the rain came down so hard I have never seen it so bad, I couldn't see in front of the car. It really frightened me glad to be home safe with a glass of vino in my hand...needed it!

    It's ok they are here, battery is dead and being replaced, hopefully will be back on the road in a bit. It's gone really dark again, so hopefully he will be quick! Thanks for the concern

    Was travelling down the A128 earlier to Brentwood earlier with my 10 yr old son when in the pitch black (parts of it are not well lit) I suddenly encountered a big bushy fallen tree right across my lane. I managed to dodge the worst but the tree scraped along the side of the car and I was really shook up. I phoned the police and on the way back home they were clearing it away. I was so excited by the storm earlier, but it really shows you how close situations can get with the weather in control :(

    We've had problems with these too, noticed them in the summer living in my window frames. My hubby killed two, but I've seen quite a few in our car park. :/

    I have to drive to Brentwood in a few hours (630am-700) should I be concerned? It's quite gusty here, will it get worse?

    Just read a tree got blown down today on the A127 on the Dunton Exit slip road, I drive this route everyday back from taking hubby to work in Brentwood to go to Stanford (where my son goes to school) slightly freaked! Thank God its Sunday :/

    Still raining here, varying in intensity, with an odd rumble of thunder mixed in. Was very pleased with the storm we had earlier at around 4am, the fork lightning was amazing stretched across the sky, hope we get some more like that âš¡âš¡
