Just looked outside and its started coming down again. i don't expect it to last all day but was so nice to wake up to!

after having photos from friends in west kent, i am more than happy with what we have!! deal deserves some good snow!

Well i was correct ...NO snow in east kent this morning. no surprises there!

hmmm im not so sure, only thing that would say yes is the cloud to the right seems to be drawn down towards it in some manner. i don,t wanna say yes or no really but looking at it logically id have to lean towards no...sorry bud!

I can see the argument from both sides of the coin, Yes we dont get the weather on the same scale of severity as maybe the US and Australia and therefore at this moment in time we dont require the services that those countries provide the Public. Perhaps with the increase of severe weather there might be a review of this. One thing i have always felt that the UK does need is an EAS system like the US, obviously for not only use with weather related events but other general civil emergencies as well. I have always had the understanding that its better to be a little over prepared than not enough and it should take a major event to suddenly but the cat amongst the pigeons. Suppose only time will tell

well i live in the next town long the east coast, up from Dover, and i can bet on my life that Dover will get 'em and we will miss out ....Again!

well once again we missed out on ne major snowfall, we had one really heavy snow shower yesterday but that was generally it. this blob over france is our last hope. dunno how much is really expected to fall from this any ideas?

Well, i live in Deal (between Dover and Thanet) and we had a mini blizzard about half 2 and the odd sharp snow shower thru the rest of the afternoon. not its all gone quiet ugh it seems to always do this!! its snowing in thanet and dover! how ever so depressing! so am i gonna wake up to ne more tmrrw mornin? ne thoughts?

I was looking at the met office website last night, and happened to see a small advert for the new warning system which is colour coded from green to red. it was late and was gonna read it more in depth today but it seems to have disappeared. does anyone have any more in depth info on this?
