  1. Snow here. Doubt it will settle though - we shall see..... I wish we had a proper mountain in the SE. A small range stretching from Crawley to Ashford, up to about 6000 ft. Is that really too to ask for?
  2. Down here in deepest Sussex there still some little bits of drift left from 16-17 days ago.. Not much now though
  3. Moderate snow here. A blob has formed just to the east of Crawley. http://www.meteoradar.co.uk/Home/ZoomRadar?lat=51.415&lon=0.2818181818181813&z=7&x=432&y=462&type=animated-12
  4. It's changed really quickly here. After about 2 hours of sleet it changed to heavy snow. Settling on everything. Quite a surprise.
  5. Met office have expanded the yellow warning to inclued most of the SE.. Sorry if this is old news
  6. It it stays like this it would be miserable. Maybe see you there though. Il be wearing a red coat, got the face of a bear. RB
  7. First wet flake spotted. Doubt it is going to match last week though. We still have some bits of drifts in the hedges round here. Pics from last week More flakes now....
  8. Grinstead lane going down towards weir wood. There were similar drifts round and about. All depends on the orientation of the fields and hedges..
  9. Blimey, what a spectacular. There must be some huge drifts in some of the lanes around here - gotto be . Amazing snowfall. One of the best I have seen in my 53 years. The morning rush hour must be cancelled around here. Still snowing. Venture out and get some pics soon.. RB
  10. This is turning into quite an event round these parts. My kids have seen quite a bit of snow since feb 2009, but tomorrow they are going to see loads of drifts for the first time. I reckon there are going to be some biggies...
  11. Just come back from a walk. Widespread 1 to foot snow drifts. Where the snow has blown off the playing field through a hedge into a lane .. Up to 2.5 foot drifts (easily) . And all sorts of drifty shapes. Last time I saw that was 1987. Try and get some pics tomorrow. RB
  12. Total white out here , a bit difficult to describe... Hope everybody get some of this...
  13. Morning all, We have got a bit of a white out going here (in between haywards heath and east grinstead). Looks great in the gusts. We could see some proper drifts today..... Hope everybody gets some. RB
  14. You can't beat a bit of hight for snow. One of the reasons I moved to the my location was I wanted to be part of the action if it snowed. I would like however, to recommend Tatsfield on the Surrey Kent border. It's mostly above 700ft. I have seen 1963 (several feet) style snowdrifts there in the 80's. It's starting to get a bit crunchy here - starting to freeze. Wet snow has stuck to everything. Could be good for some photos tomorrow.... RB
