  3. Not surprisingly it's feeling much fresher this morning, currently 18.8°C following an overnight low of exactly 15.0°C Looks like N England and Scotland enjoyed some truly spectacular storms last night! Bish
  4. That's a pretty impressive max for your neck of the woods, PM. I daresay temps in excess of 30°C must be a very rare occurrence for you overall? Bish
  5. It's still 31c here, which means we've stayed above the 30c mark for five and a half hours and counting. First time that's happened for a very long time. Friday night/Saturday morning suddenly looks very promising for much of England from a storms perspective....... Bish

  11. Some electrical activity firing up to the south of Evesham right now, according to lightningmaps........ Bish
  12. We were racing towards breaking the magical 30°C mark when - horror of horrors - it abruptly clouded over about thirty minutes ago, which has already caused a drop back down to 28.7°C Bish
  13. Plenty of showery activity to our south and west, but not of the sparky variety so far. Temp is now 27.5°C, a full 5°C warmer than at this point yesterday. Bish
  14. That Estofex forecast is much more promising for this region than I had expected for today. Not getting my hopes up, but nice to see nonetheless. Currently 24.1°C Bish
  15. Today's max of 29.3°C represented my highest recorded June max since 27th June 2011 (29.5°C) Bish
  16. 29.3°C ended up being my max temp, considerably higher than the forecast max of 26°C It's still 27.1°C at half past seven in the evening, a very warm (and probably uncomfortable) night awaits. Bish
  17. Well done Willinglossop and Laurie61, our first confirmed 30°C readings of the summer! 29.1°C here, but we must be very close to the peak. We recorded our highest temp here at around 16:30 yesterday. Bish
  18. 28.4°C now, which makes today hotter than anything I recorded throughout 2014. Goodness only knows what tomorrow is going to end up like! Bish
  19. Weatherobs has a few stations reporting temps of 28°C and even the occasional 29°C to the NW of Birmingham at the moment. Currently 27.6°C here, but not feeling too humid so far. Bish

  25. Yes, by late tomorrow afternoon the heat will be over the entire region and pretty much all of England and Wales. Which gives us one genuinely scorching day on Wednesday, a brief respite on Thursday, and then a return to very warm/hot conditions on Friday into early Saturday. Plus lots of thundery potential Bish
