The only significant snowfall I remember in my lifetime was around March/April ish in either 2007/8 where we got a streamer, and in December 2009/January 2010.
We got a few flurries in 2018 with the beast from the east but the snow amounts was nothing noteworthy in my books.
Hopefully, we’ll get a stonking streamer that sets itself up to bury the south coast in snow. This would go some way for Mother Nature to repair the mental damage she did on me last year, with a measley one or two claps of thunder throughout the entirety of 2020.
Remember these events on the south coast?
April 2008, February 2009, December 2009, January 2010, but the best being December 2010, over 35cm here in Brighton!

Reached 31c at Shoreham Airport - by the sea, the warmest I’ve seen here for years.

Shoreham Airport on the south coast near me has just recorded 31C - I haven’t seen that recorded here since 2006!

It’s very muggy here on the south coast, already registering 27C at Shoreham Airport. Hot!

Think peacehaven was just too far east from the main area again, slight dusting, glad Brighton and Shoreham had some more, do we except some today?
Potentially some this evening, would be nice!! Hope Peacehaven is the sweet spot later tonight for you!

Unexpected to have snow here in Shoreham-by-Sea; around an inch or two. Seeing the snow shield over Brighton and much of Sussex last night, I really wasn’t confident!

Very disappointed only had a dusting of snow before I went to bed nothing else
Quite surprised as in Shoreham it has been coming down for a while now, about 3cm of lying snow.

Well that would be perfect for me however unlikely as I don’t value their thoughts at all lol
Their UK winter forecast (released recently) called for a particularly mild and stormy winter this year... hmmm haha

I'm surprised how warm it is here on the south coast, no sea breeze today, wind from the NE, already 28 degrees at Shoreham Airport.

Lots of lightning in the distance coming from the coast near Brighton. There's a really heavy burst of rain now!
