Thank goodness for the haven of the kilted thread with grounded posts after trying to make sense of the model thread. As a relative newbie, I'm getting very confused! These might be silly questions, but why are people (model thread) all so sure that zonal weather is nailed a few weeks away, when only a few days ago the models were predicting something entirely different? Can't it all just change back again? And looking at some of the charts this morning, there looked to be a lot of polar air coming over the UK from the west, with well below 528dam air - does this mean rain/zonality when it's from the west? Does it only produce cold/snow when coming from the east?
I felt like I was learning but feel like I'm back to square one again!
