    A green Christmas Day ? Yes please - dont want to go thru the whole drama of last Christmas , where spent the whole build up worrying about having to travel on the day

    BBC just mentioned snow on the local radio. Looked at the BBC and Metoffice , and they are also showing 'light snow'. Whats the forecast from the experts on here for the Redditch / Solihull area tomorrow ? I knew it was too good to be true that I could get thru a whole week without worrying about the weather

    Anybody agree with Abbaman that were going to see heavy snow next weekend ? Ive not see any other suggestions of this. I for one hope not

    Yes , the gritters in Redditch were out at 7 pm tonight. Thankfully the 'light snow' for midday tomorrow has now disappeared from the BBC forecast for Redditch.

    BBC showing light snow here in Redditch for tomorrow .... is that a possibility ? I hope the roads arent as bad tomorrow morning as they were today . And how many water leaks are there about that havent been fixed - which didnt help

    I so hope your right my friend. Especially as Im still going to have to travel to Solihull, as I didnt get the job in Redditch I had 2 interviews for (and they couldnt be arrsed to tell me until I emailed them twice).

    Well Im loving the milder weather. Just need it to be a bit drier at the weekends plse ! Good riddance to the snow hopefully - though if I get the job i went for yesterday I wont be so fussed, as its only a mile down the road Roll on the Spring I say.

    Thanks Fizz. I so hate having to travel to work so far. Lets hope I get a job back home real soon ;-) Strange that leicester isnt so far away and theyre getting loads of snow still - no chance of it stretching over to Solihull area ?

    Thanks for that update Fizz. I couldnt decide wether to go into work later or not (in Solihull). Currently in redditch its just drizzly rain now after earlier snow , but some cars have quite a bit of snow on them. Not sure where they have come from ? After what time is it safe to say that we will get no more snow here in South Midlands ?

    Started as heavy rain here 30 mins ago - quickly turned to snow with bit of sleet. Blinkin heck - panic set in for me - another day off coming up for me :-(

    If were going to get any snow here in Worcs / Warks , what time will i be ? Im planning to get up at 6 as usual and see hwat its like and check on here before venturing out. I realise it may all be gone by teatime, but I finish lunchtime, and can see loads trying to get on the roads at that time if it suddenly starts to stick and is snowing heavy at the time

    Thats my dilema Chunky. I work near Solihull, but finish at 12:30 on a friday. But it sounds like the snow is going to come in the morning, so I fear Im going to have to have another sickie day

    Well guys Im really suprised no updates on this thread since last night ! Cant believe its gonna snow tomorrow morning ?! Cant it wait till the afternoon - when Ive finished work , and home safe and sound Or even Saturday. redditch only showing light snow on MO , but Solihull where i work showing heavy snow for the morning. i can just see the lunchtime chaos if it settles.

    Hopefully this is nothing more than a light dusting for us in the Solihull/ Redditch area , if any at all ? Isnt it supposed to move off to the East of the country around lunchtime.

    Well at least Ive got thru the Xmas and New Year period with no more snow. Was hoping we might be lucky and thta was it ... was hoping it might be at least more than a week anyway (I know it goes against the grain from most of you on here.... look at me as the alternative comedian on here !) Happy New Year all anyway !
