Have a light covering here this morning in swindon

Been some fairly heavy snow this afternoon which turned to sleet then back to rain.Ever so often it turns back to snow again.
The hills around Swindon are white due to the higher altitude allowing the snow to settle, i've taken the kids up there to have a look about as they 'pine' for snow.Some good quality snow about 3" deep.Seems wierd as the hills are only about 2 miles from where we live.
yup can agree with casper.been snowing here all day.

Been snowing steady for 2 hours now here.Not laying due to ground being wet.
looks like we still havea few more hours left of it looking at the radar

Nice big fluffy snow flakes here at the mo...but quickly turning sleety

Had a Light 5 min flurry here in purton,north wilts at 9 am. light but did start to lay

Got home 30 mins ago to a good few cms of snow...whooo hooooo

lightning thunder.lightning thunder...none stop here....WHOOOO HOOOOO
as soon as one flash goes thunder then whiles thats going another flash

Had a few claps of thunder and lightning along with a short sharp shower about 30 mins ago

just started here again..nice purple flash of lightning and nice hail stones...winds picked up

had some rumblings and lightning for the last hour or so..still some now

had 3-4 lots of storms here so far today one around 2 am which was mainly lightning...7.30 i woke to thunder 9.30 ish another storm with very heavy rain and now its just started up again..heavy rain,thunder and lightning with strong gales

Started of very cloudy and misty ...around 4 it all cleared up and been a beautiful evening...to say the least i wasnt looking up and didnt see the big cloud heading my way and got rained on ..still showers on and off now
