looks like problems with the noaa servers rather than at our end
-
nope it was us - there was too little rain so we weren't reading the files correctly - updated and running a catch up now
-
i think a couple of character sets were missing when the database was transferred.
all sets are now installed so you may now use the degree symbol, arabic, japanese, hebrew and bengali.

all fixed - have given the server a good ol fashioned kick
-
i'm just giving the system a good kick now
-
i'll have a look and see if that can be done easily although gut feeling says fiddly http://nwstatic.co.uk/forum/public/style_emoticons//cool.gif

we get the data from the metoffice - so we can only display what they give us unfortunately.
fingers crossed it will be back soon
-
ctrl+f5 or if that fails clear your cache - internet options->delete files and restart your browser

12z appears to have completed successfully (finally) - order has been restored
-
yep the 6z run failed - and the 12z isn't looking much better at the moment - there appears to be a problem with noaas servers
i'll try and kick the 6z back up - thought i'd leave it as the 12z was running but there's a few missing files
-
2 elastic bands, a hamster and half a metre of double sided sticky tape
i'm actually thinking of writing up a feature sometime on the technology of net-weather - cos we don't half shift about some data
-
yep - definitely the 6z - it had a wee problem with one of the height files
very annoying
-
all fixed although i have no idea how
-
looks fine now- sometimes there's just a wee gap between runs which can cause 0 data.
images can be posted directly by placing the url between [img ] tags
-
click on datacentre at the top and choose the top left menu item for extra gfs charts
-
if it's the net-weather charts then it could be a combination of traffic and server load producing the images - if it's the wetterzentrale ones then that's unfortunately outside of our control
-
-
oops - just needs a quick table update - give me 2 mins
try now
-
do you have norton installed?
if so go to the extra homepage and there's special instructions for a special program
-
watch this space - should be a few more over the next couple of days
