  1. Unless this front is due to just sit over the SE all night, I can't see where the afternoon/eve/overnight snow is coming from?

In fact here in SE Essex I cant see where the snow is coming from at all.

I will give it another hour or 2 then I will be considering throwing the towel in as well, like a lot of other SE Essex/E Kent people.

I'm not going to hold my breath for much, so i've gone to Asda for a cheeky bottle of red. Went for red as I've got the hump with anything white!!!!

What a nightmare for you. Glad you're back home and safe. Take care
  3. Not sure about your weather station.Which model do you have.

Ambient wet bulb temperature and its affect on performance is the subject of this article.

Ambient wet bulb temperature is a condition measured by a device called a psychrometer. A psychrometer places a thin film of water on the bulb of a thermometer that is twirled in the air. After about a minute, the thermometer will show a reduced temperature. The low point when no additional twirling reduces the temperature is called the wet bulb temperature.

The measured wet bulb temperature is a function of relative humidity and ambient air temperature. Wet bulb temperature essentially measures how much water vapor the atmosphere can hold at current weather conditions. A lower wet bulb temperature means the air is drier and can hold more water vapor than it can at a higher wet bulb temperature.

    For example:

    Dry Bulb Temperature

    50°F

    60°F

    70°F

    85°F

    90°F

    Relative Humidity

    40%

    50%

    35%

    55%

    60%

    Resultant

    Temperature40°F

    50°F

    55°F

    73°F

    78°F

Hi hun, it's a TFA Sinus. Have read everything you've posted and it's gone RIGHT over my head (not hard to do fool.gif

  4. Ok, I have a question. My dew point (on my first ever weather station, and still trying to work it all out) is 0.9 and the temp is slowly sinking (now showing 2.8). The weather sign is cloud/sun (think my weather station has had more wine than me) and i was wondering how's this is for snow? Thanks in advance :-)
