I also only get the white screen! Made me laugh when it said this was a one hour trial, If you like what you see sign up. no thanks. Now I can't even see what will arrive or when.
It's up for me now

Rain today have updated their site to the snow map http://www.raintoday.co.uk/
They seem to be showing a complete white-out for the whole of the UK!! Or there is a glitch because I'm just getting a white screen at the moment!
Anyway....... very cloudy here now, with a very dark horizon to the west. Temperature still at 1.7c with DP at -1c. I expect to see something within the hour now, judging by the radars.
-
Temp 1c here, DP -3c, Humidity 74%. Definitely feels a little breezy outside now (wind direction S-SE). Also noticing a little more cloud cover, but still patches of blue around. I can't see the temperature going up much now so I am really relying on the weather front stalling a little further west than forecast! If it does then hopefully it will be all snow!
-
Temp risen to 1c here now. Just hoping it doesn't rise anymore. Beautiful sunshine outside and it actually feels a little warm in direct sunlight.
If the front keeps moving at it's current rate then I think I'll see snow for the first couple of hours followed by sleet. Would a drop in temp towards the end of the afternoon help keep it as snow?
-
Morning everyone. Just had a quick glance at the temp and it's -9.9c. That's cold! And, from having a quick read around the forums, my area is still forecast a snow to sleet event tonight. Although I think the snow may be more significant than the sleet. (Well, maybe that should say I HOPE it is more of a snow event )
-
Temp currently -6.1c here!!! Just popped outside to check out the stars that everyone is talking about here. Yes, they look stunning tonight but only stayed out there for 30 seconds!! Too cold!
(Crossing fingers for a little westward shift for the weather system here tomorrow too)
-
Quite confident that I will see snow here in NE Hampshire tomorrow but looks as though it will be later in the day - late afternoon early evening.
Currently -2 and clear.
I hope you're right, being next door to me!
-
I have resigned myself to seeing a combination of snow and heavy sleet now. I believe that my location is right on the edge and I'll see the milder air push through by the time I wake up on Sunday morning. Just hoping that there is enough snow for the kids to build a snowman!!
But tonight is going to be chilly. Current temp -1c, DP -7c and humidity 66%
-
A little more smiley now. I am JUST inside the Met's amber alert for Saturday!!
But I'm not going to get over-excited just yet. Being on the edge is not enough of a guarantee. Definitely looks like I will have a sleepless night tomorrow with one eye on this forum and one eye out the window!
-
Looks like I was right not to buy the (suddenly more expensive!) snow shovels in Sainsbury's this morning then! I'm still going to hold onto a little hope that being in NE Hants will give me a better chance. But looking at the NAE just posted, it does look like the snow will eventually turn to rain. Might need to do a bit of night-time window watching to see the snow!

Morning Currently -5.5c here (DP -8c and Humidity 81%)
And I see my local forecast has switched back to sleet and rain for the weekend
I would have thought, being on the eastern side of this region, that I'm in a great spot for the snow. But the forecasts keep swtiching back to sleet. I'm no good at reading the charts myself so I'll be keeping a close eye on all your wonderful observations in this thread for the next 24 hours!! Fingers crossed that Atlantic front doesn't push too far east.

I really need a weather station! Nearest station is a couple of miles away from me and a little more rural. But the readings are:
Temp -3.1c
DP -9c
Humidity 62%
-
It may not result to much (famous last words) but guys n gals need to be keeping an eye on the radars again.
The above only really applies to inland (!) parts of the region, select places for snowfall judging by current radar look to be those in the area between Oxford and Basingstoke, also due east of there, Alton, Petersfield etc. :smiliz34:
It is in the developmental stage so anything could happen once again.
Kind Regards
gottolovethisweather
Heavy snizzle here and my village is stuck on the side of Alton, so good call there!
Edit: And now it's stopped!! :smiliz46:
But there seems to be a lot of cloud developing over here, according to raintoday. So I'll keep peeking out the window!
-
Fairly heavy snow shower outside right now! And, as I finished the last of the christmas shopping this afternoon :smiliz19:, I'd be happy for this to continue all evening! Any chance of that?
-
Huge snowflakes here now
-
Yay bigger flakes coming now but heavier. That's more like it!
Hopefully that will be coming my way soon then!
