snowing on and off all night...really light stuff but got a few cm..however have noticed in the last hour much bigger fat flakes. I live right near the beach and the sky is totally grey...and the wind is brutal!

Very dry air causing it to evaporate/disappear before getting anywhere near ground.

I'm still shedding it. I dread to think where else it got.

Just popped out to the coast to do a few things for work and that wind has some poke, must be gusting close to 30mph. Certainly feels chilly. one or two very light graupel showers, but not much else, and not much off-shore that I could see though it was tough to tell between eyefuls of sand.
As for prospects for the rest of the week, why not just let it play out and see what happens? It's not like we can influence it anyway.
the sand facial isnt pleasant is it lol

Yeah being right on the sea it usually melts quick in skeggy. But soon conditions should be cold enough for snow at all levels.
One thing I've noticed when there's showers around lincolnshire, skeggy seems to always get the heavy ones.
yeah yesterday it was raining cats and dogs all day ...im keeping the faith I told the kids we might get to build a snowman so probs jinxed it now

So do I, but it’s snowed everywhere else in Lincs bar this area this winter. Maybe it will make up for our earlier losses this time around.
I know...I've watched friends on the other side of the country with loads of snow in envy! Fingers crossed from tomorrow night lots of looking out the window and radar watching for me lol

I wonder if the Lincs coast snow shield will hold firm as it has so far right through this winter?
I hope not I want to walk on a snowy beach at least once this year!

It's the right regional thread, this covers Yorkshire and Lincs.
Let's put it this way, I'll be doing my Boris-mandated exercise on Sunday afternoon at Saltfleetby, on the coast north of you. With my camera. From then until Thursday, it's snow showers all the way, with very little marginality.
brilliant! thank you I will be on the beach too with the dog seeing the first snow this winter...at last!
