Sleet30031972, I can aswer your questions. 1º. The andalusian winter is not very severe in the most places. Above all in cities like Seville, Almeria, Malaga, Huelva or Cordoba, because those cities have not enought altitude to have a cold winter. Another cities like Granada or Jaen are situated above 600 metres and their winters are colder, with temperatures about 6-7 degrees (43-45F). The coldest places in Andalucia are in the east and northeast, because the mountains reaches almost 3500 metres in Sierra Nevada (east) and 2400m in Sierra la Sagra. The temperatures can be easily below -15ºC (5F). Some people says that there is a place called "Campos de Hernan Perea" where the temperature could had reached -30ºC (-22F), this is not demostrated because this place is deserted and there is no weather station. 2º. Snow in Huelva city is like 30ºC (86F) in England, very very unusual. In sorrounding mountains the snow is not very rare, I think that it snow in the mountains almost every year, but I am not sure.
