  1. Looks like we'll be right on the Western edge of it, if it is moving NW then we should pass through it, if however, it's still moving North then we'll just keep to that western edge.
  2. A bit like the can of cider that you forget and leave in the freezer overnight. It is liquid inside until you pull the ring pull and woosh, cider slush...
  3. Can't remember ever having freezing rain, is it supercooled?
  4. I mentioned earlier at work how it looked like sand blowing around the seaside, just a lot whiter.
  5. Ahh, yes you did, apologies! I'm overly excited about having a day off tomorrow so missed that bit.
  6. Surely it's a great cold spell? Admittedly for you it hasn't been a good snowy spell but to suggest it's a very poor cold spell with the temperatures and wind chill we've had is crazy talk?
  7. Yes, just had a notification that we are closed. To be fair the roads around the estate are pretty awful and the footpaths similarly.
  8. No idea but she's nailed the more easterly track of this one. But then the Daily Express have also hit the jackpot this year...
  9. Well Shefali suggested more of the W. Mids would get hit by Emma than others had. Got to give her some house points for that so perhaps she's on a roll.
  10. We're almost in two yellow warnings, one for just snow and the other for snow and wind.
  11. Amber warning is only 19 miles away! A bit of creeping and we'll be there...
  12. It seems very localised in the Midlands. Fingers crossed for overnight.
  13. It's usually the other way, you get a pasting and we miss out. How much do you have of lying snow?
  14. Yes, as Atlantic 252 suggests, even if we don't get a hit from heavy stuff the light stuff is going to be here all night.
  15. How far North do we need it to get before it changes NW for the majority of us to get hit?
  16. Stafford is renowned for producing rain whilst areas at lower altitudes nearby are seeing full-on snow.
  17. *fingers crossed* Mind you even if we don't it's been a great spell all in, the cold is brilliant and the snow an added bonus.
  18. Yeah, only Berkswich up this end closed. It has been fabulous to watch, was out in just my shirt at home time, it was a bit cold...
