From about 4am the temp dropped off a cliff by me from 0 to -6 in the space of 3 hours.

Looking at your height staying next door to the hotel is a good choice. I suspect it is difficult to get out of where you live when it has snowed. My parents fly out of manchester Saturday so hope they get there safely.

I'm hoping the precipitation over Gretna and Carlisle survives to make it to our area. The band that just passed through hear produced nothing.
