Yes still very humid now the grey cloud has gone it actually feels like a proper summers day,A few sites i use still going for thunderstorms this afternoon also saturday and sunday but you know my view on that from previous posts,Any how good luck everyone.

Alot better day here today blue sky sun is out very nice,Not expecting any storms.

I hate to say it but i have been saying it would from the start.

By the sounds of things i was right,Rumours of storm potential this week slowly but surely disappearing,Same old story i guess.

Sun has come out here and can actually see blue sky and now as Harry predicted feeling more humid,still optimistic about any storms though but i'll have to give it time and see what happens.

Not looking good here today on the first day of a supposed stormy week,Grey and overcast skies no sign of the sun and feels alot cooler than yesterday,Seems we are set to miss out today but tomorrow looks better,Good luck all.

Im liking the fact that the west is getting a mention for a change,All you hear or read when it comes to storm potential is about the east,im still sticking to what i said yesterday but at the same time thinking maybe what i said a few weeks ago about when the west do finally get storms there going to be awesome,Good luck all.

Some interesting posts but imo i dont think it's going to be all that great,Lots of us have been in this position so many times before i've lost count,We sky and radar watch all day hopeing something will happen and the majority of the time it was pointless and a waste of time as nothing does,Yes it looks good for next week but it's a few days away and things are likely to change,If we do stay on track i dont think we will get monstrous french imports far from it,maybe some short lived homegrowns but imo thats about it,If you live in the west of the country i wouldn't expect anything lol you know the east will hog any action that may come off,Any how i do hope finally some REAL storms kick of next week and the west do eventually get in on the act,Good luck all

WOW Natures fury was awesome now i really have to go storm chasing in the US,i would do anything to witness storms like that,makes are storms laughable,BUT also seeing what damage these storms bring and the devastation it does to people's lives i really felt sorry for these people,to us the thought of seeing a supercell in this country would be like HELL YEAH bring it on but now after seeing that i dont think i want to as i wouldn't like to have to go through what they did,Im happy with the normal storms this country gets,well if i ever get to see one,Speaking of storms is there any potential for the west tomorrow? After seeing 2 forecasts on tv earliar it seems unlikely and after a quick sweep of the net it looks unlikely but you never know.

The really dark clouds has only brought light rain,thought it was going to pour down,Also my sis has just sent me a pic of a funnel cloud in the south gloucester area.

Looks like you might be right Andy about maybe something in the west,very dark here have had to put lights on,there are clouds here that look alot like mammantus but not 100% sure,do mammantus have any connection to thunderstorms?

Did someone mention the Bristol area and storm in the same post lol,I have just woke up so maybe i dreamt it lol

Probably the same areas that have be hogging the storms this year!Going to be saying goodbye to 2011 stormless just like 2010,2009,they say things come in 3's and this is proving to be one of them,I think if nothing happens this year im gonna give up the whole storm interest and start a new interest,Getting really boring now,Good luck all for tomorrow

Nothing but rain here,No lightning no thunder same old story,Storms in the west are as common as snow in the desert,One day our turn will come and when it does it will be the biggest storm ever.

Afternoon all,More heavy rain in the early hours here,The road opposite my house is flooded and vehicles are lining up because the right side of the road is really deep but the wrong side is more shallow so vehicles are taking it turns to get through,Hoping for some thundery weather today but not holding my breath,think the North and Scotland will hog it all again,Can only hope,Good luck all.

OMG what a night of rain we're having tonight! I took the dog out at 10.45pm,on the way back the wind really picked up but it wasn't raining,within 10mins of being home the heaven's opened and it hammered down,but there was hardly any wind,a hour past and all seemed calm but over the last 20mins we had a downpour accompanied by very strong winds wasn't expecting that at all,All i needed was a flash and a bang to top it off,ah well maybe tomorrow.

I think alot of us are used to shattering disappointment Dave,After some early rain the sun has come out with a bit of convection going on but i dont think anything storm wise will happen,As for the NSC i think i will have a long time or even permanent membership.Any how i hope something does happen here and best of luck to all.

The storms do seem to be heading NE and i dont think anything will happen here,BUT im no expert but going by the members who are maybe the West is in with a chance,Who knows fingers crossed and good luck all.

Yes Andy it is quite fascinating with the amount of rain we have had and how heavy it's been at times,But with storms all over the place but nothing here it's getting frustrating,2011 down here is like a replay of 2010 with absolutely nothing storm wise happening,It is cool to see what others are getting or have seen but when you haven't got anything yourself you start thinking why do i bother,Its only weather i know but when storms are one of your interests but your not getting any its soooooo annoying.

How reliable is Metcheck? They have over 700 j/kg for my area in the early hours,I know CAPE isn't everything needed for a storm but still thats quite a good amount.

Think im going to give up now,Just 1 rumble of thunder and heavy rain here today,I agree it all kicks of after passing Bristol,Nothing new there for people down this way.
