  1. The last couple of nights have been muggy enough that I have had to put shorts & t-shirt on while gaming etc.. It hasn't been dry, it's constantly damp, which is useless for washing to dry. It's painful, very painful..
  2. Numerous moderators over the past couple of days have told members to use the appropriate threads for talking about the BBC/Met Office weather, and not this one. Please respect those requests..
  3. The app doesn't use the UKV. It's the Euro4 and ECM. But an end to that discussion..
  4. Double digits for the fourth day in a row. A max of 12.6°C. Currently 11.8°C and drizzling. At least another week of this miserable weather.
  5. Please don't jump on members for having a view point that doesn't fit your bill. There's no trolling going on, and CC makes a valid point. No need for condemnation for seeing things from a different perspective.
  6. Some posts have been moved over to here Ramping needs to be posted over there.
  7. Dreadful outlook under high pressure again... overcast, perhaps drizzly at times. It looks that way for quite some time.
  8. Where did all the rain come from? Started off drizzly, then it turned moderate, with heavy bursts thrown in. 8.6mm so far. Temp at 11.2°C
  9. It didn't quite work out like that back in January 2020, though.. Certainly a mouth-watering NH profile on that particular GFS run?!
  10. Nice to see some electrical activity in those showers! There should be quite a few of those rattling through the region overnight.
  11. Without doubt, it was weaker that anticipated, particularly for down here. I have already had several text messages saying "Is that it?" So I know I'm not the only one ..
  12. Managed a goods rain rate; 195.2 mm/hr, with hail. Only two gusts above 40 today, 40 and 41mph. Definitely nowhere near as strong as forecast.
  13. I have to say, it isn't anything noteworthy here. We're in the peak gust time, and its not doing a great deal. A southerly here, usually brings big gusts, so it must be weaker than anticipated?!
  14. Just back from Corfe Castle. Winds picking up quite nicely here. I hope the Christmas tree I have outside survives. There's a soft-top car parked below it.
  15. Clear out there at the moment, and 4.3°C. That wind gust chart certainly looks nasty for parts of southern Ireland. It looks like two waves of strong winds for parts of our region tomorrow/Wednesday.
  16. As an advisory; Some of the more complicated charts being posted should include a bit more meat on the bone as to what they're referring to. There's plenty of members lurking in this thread that might not have any idea what they mean.. so it would be really helpful if some info was included. It doesn't have to be an essay, just a line or two.
  17. This thread is for model discussion. Moaning about the weather or the models, or just general chat can be done over here
